Pattaya was fun back 20 years ago  , now it’s completely  over run with Indians & Russians , back over 20 years ago it was mostly Europeans & Americans & British  , there was a nice laid back vibe to the place where people knew everyone in their own areas that  you frequented like going down to you local pub basically , Chinese you’d only see them when the big busses would pull up & do their tour & buffet to eat that’s it they would never be see spending other than that where as like the rest of us it was out drinking from evening to nearly morning or as long as you could stay going , we were spending money but things were way cheaper back then too , prices of drink down walking street now can cost even more than Europe for a small bottle of beer etc so many Europeans are choosing places like lanzarote solou Tenerife for their holiday destination, i was there in January for 1 night I couldn’t believe how  many places that have been taken over by Indian people around beach road & second road , it looked like they had a 80 % majority of establishments there , not the place for me anymore but maybe I’m getting older & like the quiet life more nowadays but aside from that it’s a different place completely to what it used to be & its mostly down to the different people I’ve mentioned that  have taken it over in massive numbers

And the article forgets to mention the #1 main factor: the abductions and other incidents that eroded the image of Thailand as a safe destination in Chinese' minds. Either way we'll take the win. Less Chinese means less competition for resources and less upwards price pressure. So happy that low season is finally here.

right, in general they are about the ugliest woman in Asia. 

Any country that has a huge economic reliance on its tourism industry and builds that industry on the three pillars of Russia, China and India while ignoring its reliable core of long term expats deserves what it gets. Thailand is a wonderful country blessed with kind caring people and a wonderful culture but cursed by a corrupt inept myopic government. 

 

Thank god the Chinese hoard have descended on Vietnam and slacked up on Thailand. I wonder how this will work out for the Vietnamese and the Chinese. The two countries have a history 1500 years of war only broken during a brief interlude when the Vietnamese had to fight the French then the Americans.

 

In 1979, after the American left, the Chinese once again invaded Vietnam in a war lasting only about one week. Exact numbers are impossible to verity but there are estimates the the Chinese lost 40,000 men and the Vietnamese lost 20,000  before chasing the Chinese hoard back across the boarder.

 

I wonder how long the Vietnamese will tolerate the current Chinese invasion.

trust me, it's not just single male falang. There are countless Japanese, Korean and other Asian males that come to Pattaya for the same reason and they spend $$$ on high end working girls.

Whiter? does that make them more attractive to you? as far as larger breasts, some of the biggest breasts I've seen on Asian women are on Thai women.

It is fairly much accepted that whiter is more beautiful for Asian women.

 

Which is why whitening creams and even injections are extremely popular and fake tan and solariums are not.

Chinese young women are more “slim fit”, Thais not so much and are quite lazy when it comes to sporting activities as reflected in Olympic results and other international sports.

 

I am not saying Thai women are ugly, but Chinese women are more attractive and as such the Chinese men are not really interested in paying short, darker and often heavily tattooed single mothers for sex in Pattaya as much as we Brits are.

Looks like they forgot to send the memo to Hua Hin ...     The place is still plagued

We all knew that prioritizing Indian and Chinese tourism was ruinous because they don't spend.
Only Westerners go there in a "two-week millionaire" mode, spending lavishly.
Now the Chinese have ignored them, and Indians sleep on the beach.
They only go to Indian clubs, Indian restaurants, or directly to 7/11. Ruinous.
If you look at the bars and restaurants, the only foreign customers are Westerners.

 

 

Remember the statemet from TAT saying " we will be looking at bringing in high end tourists "  well that backfired big style the only numbers that came were Russian and Indian they ignored there bread n butter western tourists. They gave out free visas to them bent over backwards to the chinese now its all crime ridden resorts turning away potential tourists. You the thai tourism board made your bed now lie in it.
