A 40-year-old factory worker was found dead in a rented house in Si Racha district, Chonburi, with extensive bruising and blood spatters across the bedroom floor. Investigators believe the man was assaulted by co-workers following an argument during a drinking session.

On 28 April, Police Lieutenant Tosawat Phothisa, Deputy Inspector at Nong Kham Police Station, was alerted to the discovery of a body showing signs of violence. He reported the incident to senior officers, including Police Colonel Komkrit Manchit, Superintendent of Nong Kham Police, and coordinated an immediate investigation at the scene, assisted by local rescue volunteers from the Phiao Yeng Tai Foundation.

Officers arrived at the elevated single-storey home in Bueng Subdistrict, Si Racha, to find the deceased, identified as Mr Montri, lying shirtless and face-up on a bed. His body showed clear signs of bruising to the face and torso, and blood was spattered across the bedroom floor.

Forensic officers from Unit 2 (Chonburi) and a duty doctor from Laem Chabang Hospital were called to examine the scene. Early investigations revealed that on the previous evening, around 17:00., Mr Montri had been drinking strong white spirits with three to five factory colleagues. A dispute reportedly broke out, during which Mr Montri was assaulted by the group.

The group initially left after the altercation but returned around 20:99 to resume drinking, before departing again. At approximately 23:00, some members of the group returned once more and found Mr Montri heavily intoxicated but still alive and preparing for bed. They then left the premises.

Later, a supervisor contacted authorities and reported that some individuals had confessed to assaulting him earlier. This prompted Nong Kham police investigators to summon three individuals for questioning regarding the circumstances of the fatal assault.

Forensic officers collected evidence from the scene, and Mr Montri’s body was transferred by the rescue team to Laem Chabang Hospital for further examination. Police are continuing to interrogate the suspects as the investigation progresses.

That Lao Khao seems to be far worse than Stella Artois for starting fights.

I didn't know there were this many cops in the whole of the local force.
