Silly sausage, trying to make a name for himself, he looks like Theo von.

Democrats should be regrouping and looking for leadership because they're dead in the water now... haha, good, well deserved

Maybe it's time for any failed impeachment effort to be paid by those who brought it, and not the tax payer.  Might stop the frivolous attention grabbing stupidity.  No matter what I think of Donald or whether this effort has any real merit, it's going to fail.  Better using any evidence they have in the mid-terms so the voting public can decide?  Or take evidence through the court system if something the Reps are doing is against the law?  As others have already said, the Dems would be better spending their time getting better, finding someone capable of being elected, and policies capable of acceptance by the majority of voters in each state.

Are looks important to you in this context?

Superficial of course, but not unimportant.

The Democrats should be focusing on finding someone that is younger and has a strong record to fight against Trump after the 4 years are up, instead of wasting time and money on these impeachment proceedings. Are they ever going to learn?

Probably not. They have no plan. They have no ideas, other than to "get Trump."

This congressman, whoever he is, is just looking for his 15 minutes.

What ideas could they possibly come up with that would top their prior nonsense? How much further left can they go?  I'm not sure what they're thinking, but it hasn't been working so well, lately.

In the leftist world, but in reality he is doing exactly what he said he would.

Funny how the Democrat mantra of 'nobody is above the law' is coming back to bite them in the arse!!

2 Democrat judges arrested... so far

However, the Donald keeps lengthening the rope to hang himself with. He's so unpresidential and acts like a schoolyard bully with his name calling.

Whereas Biden was the perfect president. You might not like how Trump speaks, but at least he can

I think I can recall during the term of the previous president there was an opposition party that called for the impeachment of the then sitting president. The only difference was despite there efforts, even relying on Russian informants for false information they could find no grounds to do so.

Exactly! The Democrats have nothing left, no message, no policies, no plan for the future other doubling down on failed DEI and protecting illegal criminals. The only policy (if you want to call it that) is praying that Trump fails.

Maybe Bondi should initiate an investigation that concludes that, while there were crimes committed, they won't recommend prosecuting Trump because he's an old man with a poor memory.  He should continue in office.

That would be a hoot.

Democratic Congressman Launches First Impeachment Effort Against Trump in Second Term

President Donald Trump is facing his first impeachment challenge of his second term as Michigan Representative Shri Thanedar introduced seven articles of impeachment on Monday. Despite the bold move, the effort is expected to struggle in a Congress firmly under Republican control.

The articles accuse Trump of a wide range of misconduct, including obstruction of justice, abuse of executive authority, overstepping appropriations power, misuse of trade powers, acts of international aggression, violations of the First Amendment, the creation of an unauthorized government office, as well as allegations of bribery, corruption, and tyrannical overreach.

The resolution highlights several specific actions by the president, such as the controversial rollout of tariffs, the establishment of the Department of Government Efficiency, and sweeping mass deportations, as examples of conduct that allegedly breaches his constitutional obligations.

In a statement, Thanedar emphasized the urgency of congressional action, declaring, "Donald Trump has repeatedly demonstrated that he is unfit to serve as President and represents a clear and present danger to our nation’s constitution and our democracy." He continued, "His unlawful actions have subverted the justice system, violated the separation of powers, and placed personal power and self-interest above public service. We cannot wait for more damage to be done. Congress must act."

While Thanedar's articles set a historic marker as the first formal impeachment attempt of Trump’s second term, the political reality remains that, with Republicans controlling both the House and Senate, the resolution is highly unlikely to advance. Nevertheless, it signals a growing frustration among some Democratic lawmakers and activists who believe more aggressive steps are necessary to challenge the president's actions and policies.

The impeachment resolution stands as a symbolic rebuke of Trump’s leadership style and governing decisions, even if it faces long odds of success within the current political landscape.

Until the Dem's win back the Senate, this is an entire waste of time and money. Are they hoping that "third time's a charm" will make it stick? What a disgrace!

With friends like Thanedar and his Democrat mates, the US doesn't need enemies. I'm still waiting for the Dems to come up with one single positive policy. Instead, all they do is continually knock Trump and Musk and encourage left wing violence. It's hard to see them ever be elected again if they carry on like this. Remember, Trump has carried out his mandate to the letter, which was approved by the majority of the American electorate.
