at this point i'll take a dog

i'l take a dog and let him lead

we can vote on the lawn

one nation under dawg

and he'll be loyal as he can be

yea a golden retriever ain't no great deciever

and a labrador ain't gonna lie I'd trust

a siberian husky with all of this money i'd even trust

a pug before I trust these guys

give the whole nation to a dalmation

grant the eagle to the beagle

it don't matter what breed

hand a poodle the reigns I know it sounds insane

but if we're gonna act like 'em they might as well lead

60% my arse, Polls are useless, but don't forget, no matter how much you giggle about trumps rating, he is still above the Dems, who are at their lowest in histroy.

I was talking about Trump. Not about anything else. But you started the usual deflecting manner.

Democratic Congressman Launches First Impeachment Effort Against Trump in Second Term

President Donald Trump is facing his first impeachment challenge of his second term as Michigan Representative Shri Thanedar introduced seven articles of impeachment on Monday. Despite the bold move, the effort is expected to struggle in a Congress firmly under Republican control.

The articles accuse Trump of a wide range of misconduct, including obstruction of justice, abuse of executive authority, overstepping appropriations power, misuse of trade powers, acts of international aggression, violations of the First Amendment, the creation of an unauthorized government office, as well as allegations of bribery, corruption, and tyrannical overreach.

The resolution highlights several specific actions by the president, such as the controversial rollout of tariffs, the establishment of the Department of Government Efficiency, and sweeping mass deportations, as examples of conduct that allegedly breaches his constitutional obligations.

In a statement, Thanedar emphasized the urgency of congressional action, declaring, "Donald Trump has repeatedly demonstrated that he is unfit to serve as President and represents a clear and present danger to our nation’s constitution and our democracy." He continued, "His unlawful actions have subverted the justice system, violated the separation of powers, and placed personal power and self-interest above public service. We cannot wait for more damage to be done. Congress must act."

While Thanedar's articles set a historic marker as the first formal impeachment attempt of Trump’s second term, the political reality remains that, with Republicans controlling both the House and Senate, the resolution is highly unlikely to advance. Nevertheless, it signals a growing frustration among some Democratic lawmakers and activists who believe more aggressive steps are necessary to challenge the president's actions and policies.

The impeachment resolution stands as a symbolic rebuke of Trump’s leadership style and governing decisions, even if it faces long odds of success within the current political landscape.

Impeachment: Total futility and a waste of time and money.

Absolutely, just lock him up for all the crimes he is guilty for. That's enough for some hundred years in prison.

These impeachment attempts will continue as long as people think that he is challenging the judiciary and the Constitution. If course, it is his right to do what he thinks is in his power, but people don't have to agree because "America is a free country".

- J.D. Vance

I think it is fairly safe to say that Vance said that sometime before he sold his soul to the dark forces, for the sake of power.

Perhaps he still had a nanogram of integrity within his small body.

So we have an immigrant Indian from Karnataka India that "launches" an impeachment on President Trump. Maybe he is upset that President Trump is questioning the granting of H-1B Visas to Indians to take away high tech jobs from U.S. citizens. Or maybe he is just a left wing globalist like most Democrats that do not care about protecting U.S. sovereignty. What ever his stupid reason, it will fail just like last time and cost the U.S. taxpayers allot of money.

Maybe not, now that ActBlue is in the crosshairs and they can't launder their donations through thousands of mules who don't recall donating more than once or twice, when ActBlue had them down for 1000 separate small money donations.

Latest polls: 39% for Trump only. His days are numbered I guess.

I've been following it since Paxton of Texas asked for an investigation in 2022 or 2023.  It's either going to be covered up, or people are going to jail.  With the adults currently in power, I'm betting some sacrificial lower echelon people go to jail.

Posts using derogatory and toxic nicknames or intentional misspelling of people’s names will be removed. If you don’t want your post to be removed, spell people’s names correctly, this applies to both sides of the political debate.

Just a nobody congressman looking for his 15 minutes.  And he thinks jumping on the "get Trump" bandwagon will be his ticket to fame.
