I don't disagree, if you are in a country as a student you are there to study not be a political activist.

Correct!! And if you don't leave and don't have proper authority to stay here, you are ILLEGAL.

From reading the OP it does seem that an appropriate process has been followed.  Don't see a link to the rule that clarifies "do X and your visa is revoked", but I'm sure NYP's 'source' knows the rule and that it is being followed, especially when that source refers to littering and that this doesn't mean a visa is revoked.

$44 billion economic impact

Higher education is America’s 10th-largest export. More trade deficit.

Great job Trump with another leg down on the economy. Foreign students are staying home and will not come back.

Very misleading. Trump is not stopping student visas for everyone. Over 1 million are issued yearly

The fear of the being targeted for vague, minor infraction and some with no reason brought fear to foreign students who will rather go elsewhere than US. It is an economic cost to US with policy that is unclear, without warning and no due process.

Complete and utter nonsense from another left wing extremist; the visas being revoked are only for those visa holders that have committed a criminal offence. Visas are not being denied to genuine students. I hope you are not an American citizen spouting this nonsense.

The problem is that Trump’s administration action is arbitrary, opaque and potentially unlawful. Judges are issuing emergency orders to stop the operation. This smacks of an authoritarian type of policy.

The fear is unsubstantiated but the constant fear mongering by the left and its Mainstream media minions is the cause. Not the actual threat of it happening as most intelligent people know that these lame propaganda article are baseless. The sky has been falling for 10 years now.

If you actually read real news, you will find no laws have been broken and it is the activist judges who are the problem.  But don't worry no one is above the law and they are being prosecuted for their criminal charges.  All those stops, have been or will be overturned by an upper court. Americans are thrilled with this new administration that does what it campaigned on. Don't listen to the proven lying media, they are unhappy the grift is coming to an end

More nonsense

The students should have their day in court and not have their visa revoked by altering the SEVIS data-base. Thought this is a law and order administration.

More nonsense from you; nothing opaque or arbitrary about the action; it is made perfectly clear that if you are a foreign student as a guest of the US on a student visa, and you commit a criminal act, your visa will be revoked.

The fact that you object to this speaks volumes about your support for criminal activity, and your indifference to the welfare of ordinary American citizens; disgraceful attitude.
