Tell us all about the "interesting" youtube channels that you watch (2025 version)

This concept of a topic was done before, but I think its time for a fresh up.

Are you with me? The correct answer is yes.

Dudes and Dudesses -- there are over 100 million youtube channels going!

That means if you're a youtube user (who isn't) you're going to need to be selective or more likely let the mighty algorithm select for you.

So really not looking for the most famous youtube sites here like Mr. Beast (389 million subscribers).

Instead looking for channels that most of us probably never heard of.

Let's confuse some algorithms out there together!
(Why is this user who usually only watches cannabis review sites now looking at Albanian knitting videos?)

Not just bikes.

yeah, was also into that channel for a while, but stopped watching.

he lives in netherlands and points out how much better it is to live in cities that are not designed around cars, but it's not going to change anywhere else.

what's the point unless you move to the netherlands?

I see a different channel than that.

This one has over 3 million subs but you still probably don't know it.

Special Books by Special Kids

The host goes around and interviews (mostly but not exclusively kids and their families) with all kinds of rare (often tragic) medical disorders, etc.

Honestly I find the host overly cloying and kind of annoying, but I get why he has to act that way to try to bond with all these unusual people.

There are a number of these sort of "USA poverty porn" touring around channels but here's one of them.

Joe & Nic's Road Trip

Why do I watch this kind of content? Well, if I ever need to repatriate it might need to be to one of these kinds of backwaters.

Big fan now of "AntsCanada" (Canadian guy, singer, now living in SE Asia, creating biotopes in his house), "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert", "History Matters", and Lei's Real Talk (about China), just to name a few...

Well it might have been an interesting thread, if your derangement didn't appear.    100s of Trump MEMEs in the other political thread, so we can expect a bunch of anti Trump vids from you .

Seek counseling.

You do realize you posted 22 MEMEs in less than 2 hrs in the other thread.   Let that sink in,

SEEK HELP

oh, his post offends YOU?  I am not surprised in the least that you made it about yourself, as usual.  Your self centered righteousness is offensive.  And the ridiculousness of calling out posts in entirely different threads is laughable.

keep it on topic buddy, or go away.

Now, I don’t want to be a hypocrite so here is a fantastic YT channel that is infinitely more interesting that your blather:

”Cool Worlds is a YouTube channel where scientists talk about amazing things in space, like planets, stars, and other worlds far away. The host, Dr. David Kipping, explains big space ideas in a way that is fun and easy to understand, even if you’re just starting to learn about the universe. If you like learning about aliens, black holes, or how planets are discovered, Cool Worlds is a great place to watch cool videos and get curious about science.”  (I thought it appropriate to ask for a description that a 5th grader could appreciate.)

Yes, that's one of my daily channels to watch - Simon speaks the truth.

He did an interview once with The Jolly Heretic. I think that's the only time I've seen him long form. Lots of good stuff from J.H. too but he does his live interviews on other platforms as YouTube would certainly ban him.

I like the police body cam channels.

"police activity" really changed my mind with police. You can see first hand what happens if you don't shot first and go the route of deescalation.

I'm still waiting for this mans mental breakdown. It's going to be glorious. Any day now...

I watched a few of his videos. It was good for a few laughs.

It's hard to tell if he's acting and/or so desperate to put out any content to get clicks.

He vacillates back and forth between "I love my wife and Thailand" to "I can't take another day here and will move to Spain."

I use YouTube to find good music, as the mainstream popular muzak is just the pits.

Been around a few years now - but Black Pumas are still my favourite  ....
