Problem transferring money to GSB (Pink bank)

Featured Replies

I’ve been sending money from the UK to my GSB account via Wise for years.

Today I attempted a transaction and got this message. I sent money to my wife’s Kasikorn account instead without any difficulties.

Any ideas why.there was a problem and how to fix it please?

Yes I got the same response an hour ago.

I hope it's just a temporary glitch and I'll try again tomorrow.

Kasikorn Bank
• Krung Thai Bank
• Siam Commercial Bank
• CIMB Thai Bank
• Bank Of Ayudhya (Krungsri bank)
• Kiatnakin Phatra Bank

Starting on 6 May 2025, the following banks will no longer be supported due to payment system upgrades in Thailand:

  • TMBThanachart Bank (011)

  • Citibank (017)

  • Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (018)

  • Standard Chartered Bank (020)

  • United Overseas Bank (024)

  • The Government Savings Bank (030)

  • HSBC (031)

  • Deutsche Bank (032)

I believe these will come back once they get their security aligned to whatever standard is required for Wise to be able to transfer to them.

Thanks, would have been a good idea for Wise to have put a link to that!

.. who, ironically, used to be one of Wise's partner banks in Thailand, if I recall correctly!

That pink bank is crap. My friend has an account there that he has to use because he works for the Thai government. He complains about it constantly.

Just stumbled upon this and want to bump it as it is not limited to GSB bank.

New thread?

Another major bank is ttb (former Thai military bank).

Combined with the limit of 49999 Baht for many banks it means practically that only these three banks are usable with WISE for most purposes.

Bangkok Bank Public Company      2,000,000

Kasikorn Bank                                   2,000,000

Siam Commercial Bank                    1,499,999

Other recipient banks                           49,999

Study the post above from JB300 and read the link he provided.

List of all supported banks:

Supported recipient banks:
  • Bangkok Bank Public Company

  • Kasikorn Bank

  • Krung Thai Bank

  • Siam Commercial Bank

  • CIMB Thai Bank

  • Bank Of Ayudhya (Krungsri bank)

  • Kiatnakin Phatra Bank

Two very popular banks with the 50k limit.

(would immigration like to see multiple transfer of 50k and rest?)

That will affect some?
