Better the "international pedophile Mafia"than a "grab-them-by-the-pussy" man, elected to president of the USA

Not better! Worse! But both are deplorable.

Obviously, the world does not.  Some Catholics do, though.

Does the world need you???? that is a much better question...

Obviously, the world does not need me (anymore than it needs you). It is just your self-congratulatory opinion that it is a "much better question"; some people would consider it a fatuously ridiculous question that has no one has ever asked until you, bizarrely, posted it.

My history is rusty too. But if I remember correctly he was also influential in the relocation of priests after they were caught molesting boys.

My history is vague too but wasn’t he  involved with the Vatican Bank ie Archbishop Marchenkas financing Lek Walenska? Excuse my spelling.

Happened here too with a buddhist monk. Was on AN.

A lot of teachers, including female teachers, in the US are sexually abusing students.

Don't trust your kids with any adults ...

It is a world wide problem, not just amongst Catholics or any particular country.

Does the UK need a monarchy?

Good question. The UK monarchy has no direct power, unlike the Pope, but it's members are allowed to exercise enormous influence, including leading Britain into 2 world wars.

Do we actually need a pope in today’s world? With so many urgent global issues like poverty, wars, disease, natural

disasters, and climate change, it seems strange to focus so much attention on spiritual hierarchy. Maybe it’s time to ask whether all that energy and influence could be better spent on solving problems that affect the whole planet. Plus, centralizing spiritual authority in one person opens the door to corruption, power struggles, and a lack of accountability. The whole thing seems like such a waste of time and energy, maybe more people should start living in the real world.

I don't think the world in general need a Pope, but I guess the biggest scam business in the world needs a CEO.

Morals come from social norms of what is and isn't acceptable. We do not need a book to tell us this.

Unsurprisingly you completely dodged my point -- that atheist countries have been hell on earth.  Turns out we DO need a book to tell us this.

The morals you cherish are all from religion, dear boy (specifically Christian religion); you just pretend they aren't.

The Catholic church needs a Pope.

So the real question is does the world need the Catholic church.

Who is triggered?  You? You despise religion and Catholic doctrine do you not? You beleive that the LGBTQRSTUVWXYZ plus minus squared x2 agenda is moral, normal and appropriate? You support men in womens sports and genital mutilation as well as infanticide? Virtually all of the Churchs positions are opposite yours.

Watch this Forum, you will be the biggest cheeleader once the Pope says something to diss Trump. The enemy of your enemy is your friend, ja?

Hes just a pope, gets Filipinos, SAs, Mexicans and Africans excited but how many divisions does he have.  I pay little attention to Popes.
