  • Yet another donation of flooding aid, this one apparently from their Majesties the King and Queen (hence their photo).   My son from the UK being used as a beast of burden.

  • Our first "flood relief"  was just delivered. Small boy with a cart brought us two packs of bottled water.   He went away with a 4 pack of yoghurt and a huge smile!!

  • If anyone has data or live monitoring sites please post here. The more the merrier.   Let's keep everyone informed and keep our feet dry!

Tides are decreasing from tomorrow but there's been no reduction in the discharge rate from the Chao Phraya dam so there's so far no relief for those still under water 😞

For contrast this is the bottom of last night's tides at about 0.1m.

Well, there's no significant rainfall anywhere in Thailand now, so there must be a chance for the authorities to hold water in reserve, soon.

I reckon you'll be back mowing the lawn in a couple of weeks!

Top of today's 3.8m tide, sorry about the water-hyacynth.

Not really much going on, freeboard 107cm.

Family restaurant is open although the car park gets a bit moist at high tide.

Top of the 3.6m tide.

We've not seen the yellow marker for a while, let's hope it stays visible.

Freeboard is a very nice 130cm.

We can also see the base of a rather muddy spirit house.

Some good news, the Chao Phraya Dam has significantly reduced its flow rate recently.

Current flow rate at the Chao Phraya Dam was reported at approximately 1,900 cubic meters per second (m³/s). In mid-November 2025, the discharge rate was around 2,880 m³/s.

The RID plans to lower the rate even further, with an expected decrease to around 700 m³/s between December 17-18, 2025, as conditions ease.

First of a 3m double-hump tide, these are the lowest tides this month so far, up to 3.9m next week.

Both of the local monitoring sites are now down so we are stuck with just floodcam 😞

The top of today's 3.8m tide, we are not completely out of the woods yet.
