Anyone who tries this deserves all they get.

And who puts videos of themselves in underwear taking selfies in a mirror also needs locking up.

Sure, really dumb move on her part, BUT  It is just as (if not more) important to get the scum who are sending these mules.

She seems like a nice girl, a fine example of genteel British womanhood. Easily forgotten in a Georgian prison.

You were lucky. It's not clever to try to be a smart ass with immigration authorities. They can really mess you up if they choose to.

MY utmost sympathy to her family and mother. Imho, they could have not done anymore than they did. Going forward,  some tough decisions will have to made that no parent should be forced to make. As to the teenager, I am in no position to comment.

I hope her parents realize that the Guards at that prison will be smashing her on a nightly basis.  Her nightmare has just begun.

Even the Guards in a Georgian Prison have some minimal standards.

Now, the Gal was around 2 days missing and the father was already in a plane to Bangkok. I guess the parents had nightmares with her daughter before. For me she was probably out of control and the parents very worried about her to begin with. Now they found out they have been right all the way about it.

And just to make life easier for the customs officials in Georgia, she (or her handler) has labelled up the hash packages. 😆

This has now opened a whole van of worms . Her mother said she wasn't into partying lifestyle yet posted photos of money all banded up and herself smoking a joint .

Then now they have found out she is the head of several listed companies, 2 of which are in China and others in UK and far east.

She isn't just some 18 year old girl that has been duped into this weed being in her case. Seems she is going to have a lot to explain to many police and her parents.

Do you have a source? Genuine question.

If the article in The Sun about her flashing wads of cash, being the director of at least two overseas companies and alluding to criminal activities is accurate, she may not have been an unwitting mule.

They should just let her go as gesture of goodwill. At the end of the day Canabis is generally very harmless and police and governments who treat it as otherwise as usually cruel and stupid. How many people in prison in the USA for Mary Jane?

"Caught with 34 sealed packs of marijuana during a scanner check, her arrest has shocked both her loved ones and those following the case."

I agree with you if it had been a small amount for personal use - but 14 kg? She's a mule or a dealer!

A British student accused of smuggling 30lbs of cannabis into Georgia is the great-granddaughter of a late Labour MP who was caught up in the expenses scandal, MailOnline can reveal.

Cannabis is not fully legal in Georgia. Personal use of small amounts (up to 70 grams) of marijuana is decriminalized, meaning possession for personal consumption is not a criminal offense but can result in administrative penalties like fines or community service. However, cultivation, distribution, sale, and importation remain illegal and carry severe penalties. For instance, smuggling or possessing large quantities, as in the case of Bella May Culley, can lead to charges with potential sentences of 7 years to life imprisonment,

If it is against their law then she should get whatever the appropriate sentence is.

The report said: "When prisoners are received at the No.5 Facility, they are inspected naked and are requested to squat, which the inmates consider degrading treatment.

Ah, the life of a tiktok darling.

I'm guessing her only hope is having above average basketball skills.

Why should they just let her go?

1 or perhaps 2 ounces of marijuana could be construed for personal use, but 14kg is possession with intent to sell.

It is not that difficult to search the internet and look up the penalties for drug possession in a country and she has a mobile phone so she can access the internet.

I have no sympathy for her at all.

Will the Daily Mail be recommending a "GoFundMe" for her?

How did she pass the scanners at the thailand airport?

I got hauled in for having a lighter in my luggage.

They don't want the hassle, there's no money to be made from it.  Better let the destination deal with it.  As has been reported many time lately with Brits carting massive bags of the stuff to the UK.
