A prisoner, convicted of drug-related offences, has been recaptured following his escape from Na Thawi district prison. The swift recapture was aided by a 50,000 baht reward incentive offered for information leading to his arrest.

On May 14, Na Thawi district prison, under the Department of Corrections and Ministry of Justice, announced the escape of 36-year-old Supachet “Games” Sila via their Facebook page. The notice provided a detailed description of the fugitive, highlighting his tall stature, dark brown skin, and close-cropped haircut.

The public played a crucial role in this operation. Authorities encouraged individuals to report sightings or information through designated phone lines, offering a reward for successful leads. Their appeal was quickly met with cooperation, underscoring the community's proactive involvement.

Hours later, the prison posted an update on social media featuring a photograph of Supachet securely back in custody, seated in the back of a vehicle. The message conveyed gratitude to the public for their vigilance and cooperation, confirming the successful apprehension of Supachet.

This rapid resolution highlights the effectiveness of community engagement in law enforcement efforts and underscores the importance of public assistance in maintaining safety and security.
