Community Villagers Demand Action After Foreigner’s Pit Bulls Maul Dog to Death

Fear has engulfed the residential community of Areeya Village, in Nong Prue Subdistrict, Bang Lamung District, Chonburi, after a foreign national reportedly allowed two pit bulls to maul a locals pet dog to death in full view of onlookers. The man allegedly stood by and watched the brutal attack unfold without making any effort to stop it, prompting widespread outrage among villagers.

 

The latest incident, which took place inside the housing estate, has heightened tensions in the neighbourhood, with residents concerned for the safety of children, elderly people, and their pets. Locals say this is not the first time the foreign resident’s dogs have attacked, yet no effective measures have been taken to address the threat. According to residents, the foreign man, whose name and nationality was not disclosed, has repeatedly let his pit bulls roam the village unsupervised

 

Mrs Kaem Nutchimplee, also known as “Auntie Chaem,” aged 60, was the owner of the dog that was killed. She described how her pet was outside her home when the pit bulls were unleashed upon it. “He just let them loose and stood there doing nothing. My dog didn’t stand a chance. This isn’t the first time something like this has happened, but no one has done anything about it,” she said.

 

Another local, Mrs Kantong Breaker, 70, recounted a previous incident involving her grandchild, who was verbally threatened by the same man while out walking their dog. “He shouted at my grandchild and acted aggressively, right in front of our home. We live in fear now.”

 

Mr Supachai Wongmuangkam, 48, also came forward with his concerns, stating that the man frequently causes disturbances in the community. “He drinks heavily, argues with the security guards, and even sets off fireworks. The peace we once had is gone. Many people are too frightened to go for a walk or let their children outside.”

Residents have joined forces to file a complaint with Nong Prue Police Station. They are demanding immediate intervention by the relevant authorities to prevent future attacks and to impose strict regulations on dangerous pets and irresponsible owners.

 

Villagers are calling for stronger protections and enforcement to restore safety and peace to their once-quiet community.

These creatures are everywhere now in Pattaya. 

 

Worse thing about Thailand is some of the bloody foreigners.

If you allow your dogs to wonder freely, not on a lead, you can't grumble at what may happen to it. (This goes for the Pitbull owner too.) 

 

Roaming dogs cause accidents -  chasing motorbikes/running in front of cars; indiscriminately bite kids; urinate & defecate on every soi, whilst their owners, (sometimes wearing face masks in the interest of HEALTH) ignore the disease-spreading potential (not just rabies).

An addition to the final paragraph - after prison the foreigner should be deported.

My dog was killed by street dogs after a gate was left open. The Thai people are such hypocrites with their dogs roaming freely but have one of there's killed and it's in the news.

 

If a dog on a leash is at my beach area it's like a call to arms for the soi dogs as they come running for attack.

I wouldn't call it upmarket but that housing estate is nice enough to want a higher level of safety and also to have somebody on the estate with the town hall or police connections to get this sorted.

 

If what was claimed, that these two pit bulls are roaming the estate then it is only a matter of time until they attack a person.

And then they will put the dogs aside, deciding what to do with them, maybe finding them new homes, even if they kill someone, which could easily be next.

It is time that the police were given the authority and the duty to kill all pit bulls and their variations after something like this happens. Don't bother trying to rehome the dogs or trying to retrain them. If Thai vets refuse to put the animals down, then find somebody who will. If the owners protest, then add 100,000 thb to their fine and a year to their jail sentence.

 

But DO something and don't just talk about iy or kick the can down the road as usual. That will NOT fix the problem.

The pitbulls will not    be at risk for the rat poison. However local  wildlife will.

The animals are not the proble, The person who    encouraged this is. he will do it again and again. Deal with him .

If his dogs were roaming around unsupervised then I'm very surprised a Thai person hasn't poisoned them, that's Thai style. Even jealousy can result in a pets death.

Bit surprised the locals have not done this guy or his dogs  over, If his been a idiot for a long time.

Actually Italy does not allow dogs to roam free. Big problems for anyone whose dog is out and not on a lead.

I've lost at least 8 dogs and 6 cats from someone poisoning them. These animals never bothered anyone as I live 250 meters from the nearest road in the country. It's against the law to poison and I contacted the friends for animals here and they also said there's not much they can do as the police don't do anything about it, and prosecutions are rare. There are quite a few very disturbed people here that think poisoning is okay. The problem is catching them in the act.

That would mean killing animals that have never been vicious also, and won't work. If an animal attacks, especially without provocation, it should be put down and not just taken away to relocate.
