impulse Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago Just don't drink anything that comes in a bucket and you'll generally be fine. BTW, has anyone else noticed the lack of pesticide related hotel death stories? It's been quite a while. Which is a good thing. 1 1

And, is it just my good-self or are others getting seriously and increasingly exasperated - no positively suffocated by these hollow, hyper-polished AI crafted news narratives that drip with artificial grandeur that endeavour to say much about so little. 1 2

Your hyperbolic response to a good news story would suggest "your good self" may be slightly misleading. This wonderful result for Thailand can only be lauded for its anticipated effect on tourism numbers. We wait with interest.

My wife never goes alone in taxis from street pick up. Grab is safer with a safety system ensuring their customers are safe. A long stop, you get questioned if everything is okay 1

You mean this rubbish they got with false claims to make women feel secure alone in Thailand? Haha.. Tell that to the teen and the woman in pattaya that are currently living in fear from a serial rapist.

You dont go there for temples and ruins and culture, you go to wallow in the fleshpots, while the Thais view it as a place to separate folks from their money. Would you let your daughter walk around the Frankfurt RLD? 1 1
BayArea Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago If we are being real, Thailand is safer for for foreign women than it is for Thai women. Most of the stories of abuse and violence regarding women are usually Thai on Thai. 1

Would you let your daughter walk around the Frankfurt RLD? They were no where near walking street or any of the red light district. Not everything in Chon Buri is walking street, so don't be one of those. There is some very good international schools, top housing there too. But the harassment from seedy tourists around Pattaya, who view any women walking as a prostitute is an issue.
DonniePeverley Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago India is one place that is very dangerous for women. Literally terrifying if you are a single women there and going around. There is some sort of animalistic pray that men have towards women there. Unfortunately Thialand has opened up visa free to many of these individuals who continue to behave this way. Not all, but some. 1

Those of us who live in SE Asia know Pattaya is an adult playground. It has nothing to do with Thailand as a country or culture. Do you think the Franfurt RLD represents Germany? Is all LA the Fig Stroll?
