In a remarkable incident in Rattanachai, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, a 30-year-old woman survived a perilous fall from a four-storey building. The fall occurred at approximately 4 am on June 18.

Police arrived promptly at the scene, accompanied by the Ayutthaya Ruam Jai Association and local rescue units. They discovered the woman in a critical condition, lying on her side on a second-floor roof. She was impaled by a metal fence in two places on her back, and her right arm appeared severely deformed.

Despite the severity of her injuries, the woman remained conscious, which enabled rescue personnel to communicate with her during the operation. Emergency services used specialised equipment to carefully cut through the metal fence, ensuring her safe removal from the precarious position.

Once freed, she was swiftly transported to Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Hospital for urgent medical treatment. Doctors successfully extracted the metal fencing without damaging any of her vital organs, a testament to their skill and precision.

Nopadol Ratana, a member of the Ayutthaya Ruam Jai rescue team, explained that they received an urgent alert from their radio centre and quickly responded to the scene. Upon arrival, rescuers found that the woman had fallen from the fourth floor to the roof below, where the fence impaled her.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the woman resided alone on the building's fourth floor and had a known history of depression. Authorities are continuing their investigation to determine the exact cause of her fall, considering both accidental and intentional circumstances.

This incident highlights the swift response and adept coordination among local emergency services, who worked meticulously to ensure the woman's survival despite the life-threatening situation. Her recovery is being closely monitored as investigations continue to uncover more details about the circumstances leading to this dramatic event.
