Entering Thailand by train from Khamsavath Vientiane. Can I use non O evisa?

Also, can I enter Thailand by direct bus from Vientiane to Bangkok and use my non O Evisa?

Yes. your e-visa is good for either entry.

That's another yes.  Unlike a Lao e-visa a Thai e-visa can be used at all entry points, print it out for convenience, and don't forget to do the arrival card (TDAC) as well.
