Crime Man Arrested for Threatening Girlfriend with Gun in Chon Buri

This unsettling incident unfolded on the evening of 23rd June in the Bang Saray area of Sattahip district, Chon Buri, sparking immediate police intervention. Police Colonel Komsan Kamtoonkaew, leading the investigation, quickly mobilised officers to the scene after receiving an alarming report. The suspect, a 19-year-old identified as Napath, was apprehended with a homemade gun and shotgun ammunition at his waist, a crucial detail contributing to his swift arrest. According to insights gathered by the police, the confrontation arose from a seemingly innocuous jest. The girlfriend recounted how her playful gesture of sitting on Napath’s chest took an ominous turn, escalating into a severe argument. In a moment of rage, Napath allegedly pressed the gun against her chest—a tactic he had used in previous disputes, according to the distressed girlfriend and her mother. The girlfriend’s mother, evidently alarmed by the repeated intimidation, acted decisively this time by contacting law enforcement, hoping to put an end to the recurring threat posed by Napath’s unpredictable behaviour. Under interrogation, Napath admitted to losing his temper, justifying his actions by claiming the firearm was for self-defence. However, his explanation did little to mitigate the severity of the charges. He now faces allegations of possessing an unregistered firearm and ammunition, in addition to carrying a weapon in a public space without urgent necessity. This incident sheds light on the perilous dynamic between the young couple, underscoring the potential dangers of escalation when firearms are involved. It highlights the critical role of swift police response in preventing potential tragedies and ensuring public safety in domestic settings. As the investigation continues, authorities remain vigilant, determined to pursue justice and provide reassurance to the affected family.
