I believe that entering illegallly is a crime under the US Code. As is knowingly harboring an illegal alien. As is using false or stolen identity papers to obtain work, drive, etc.

A misdemeanor if found guilty as a result of due process. What trump is doing is trying to twist his stating that he was going after "criminals" to include all illegals and even those in process of hearings as all being "criminals" thus justifying the ICE indiscriminate "sweeps" to meet deportation number goals. I certainly agree immigration needs Congressional legislation to address and that both parties have kicked the can down the road for decades. Currently the Republicans hot the majority in the House, the Senate and hold the White House. A call for legislation in Congress or from trump? ... crickets.
