I'm sure that both House and Senate minority leaders were in the loop when Trump decided to pull this trigger. Anyway, taking a leaf from Putin's playbook, Russia never declared war on Ukraine, they conducted a "special operation". Bombing three nuclear facilities in Iran was a "special operation", not a declaration of war (if you ignore his fiery rhetoric and bluster on Truth Social).

Now, if this is a busted flush that does require the ongoing active involvement of US forces beyond 60-90 days, then I assume the whole congressional fandamily will get their five minutes of fame.

"I'm sure that both House and Senate minority leaders were in the loop when Trump decided to pull this trigger."

Yeah, about that.

Trump administration briefed top Republicans before Iran strikes, but not Democrats

"President Donald Trump and his team were in contact with top congressional Republicans before his strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities, but top Democrats were not told of his plans until after the bombs had dropped, according to multiple people familiar with the plans."

So, is it right to attack another country if it seems reasonable and you can achieve your targets that way?

Absolutely and Iran is a good example as a legitimate target. The regime has been a menace in the region causing death mayhem, suffering and oppression to its own citizens. Who in their right mind could ever defend such a regime? Or is it just about a political delusion? Personally never advocated for war but it’s about time they get their clock cleaned and put a final end to these murderous rats. Seems that many here would like to see Ayatollah Khomeini continue with his aggression.

So two nuclear-equipped countries attack a non nuclear state without being attacked first. There is no evidence Iran was an imminent or existential threat.

This will have HUGE negative consequences for US and Israel.

Awesome.   Anyone who thinks the Iran government is for good are total ignorant fools.

The same kind of thing was said about the Iraqi government under Saddam Hussein. How did that play out? Trump promise no more wars. America first. He has betrayed the MAGA movement.

As Tim Poole said, "Ask not what your country can do for you but rather what your country can do for Israel."

Unprovoked? Iran is/was working on an ICBM and the enrichment is/was at 60%. Doesn't take long to get from 60% to 90% which is what is needed for a nuclear warhead.

when they asked for proof nothing concrete was provided, Trump received contradicted  intel from Tulsi Gabbard but he ignored it preferring to listen to the other dictator in Israel, quite sure you will find (As always) some thing to divert, like.... ohhh News Week is not a reliable source  555

Gabbard in March testified on Capitol Hill that Iran is not building a nuclear weapon and that the country's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, had not authorized the nuclear weapons program.

"What intelligence do you have that Iran is building a nuclear weapon? Your intelligence community had said they have no evidence that they are at this point," a reporter asked Trump on Friday as he arrived in New Jersey.

"Well, then, my intelligence community is wrong," Trump said. "Who in the intelligence community said that?"

So you were a Trump supporter until now?

And I think he promised not more endless war

I keep hearing that from the left, but I do not feel betrayed.

Had he left the border open and let men continue to shower with girls I might feel betrayed.

Don't think the West thinks the Iranian dictatorship is "good" However, Trump has acted without Congressional approval and as I understand in breach of the Constitution. Trump is now demanding Peace and warning against any military response from Iran - rather bizarre behaviour as was his demand for Unconditional Surrender" from a Sovereign State that is not officially at war with the USA. Recent history shows us US intervention in the M.E. was a disaster, let's hope it isn't repeated. Trump has called for God's support and approval of his attacks on Iran - Lol

“We love you, God, and we love our great military. Protect them.” God bless the Middle East. God bless Israel, and God bless America.

Is there any dispute that Iran was enriching uranium, and that they have been calling for the annihilation of the US and Israel for decades?

Nope, neither is. Expect lots of future TACOs and lots of Iranian nuclear ambition.
