The conversation contained derogatory remarks about the commander of the 2nd Army Region and appeared to show a compliant stance towards Hun Sen, with Ms Paetongtarn allegedly expressing readiness to meet his demands.

That may reflect poor or incompetent leadership, but I'm not seeing how it qualifies as "corruption".

I don’t see what the fuss is about- “kowtowing “ is a normal practice in Thai culture. It’s also a negotiation tactic . If the General is out of line- move him. If the commander refuses to move him. Replace him. If this causes a coup then you never really had control of the military anyway. Who’s interests does the military serve?

Thailand and its people would deserve so much better

Yes they do. They always get the leadership that's selected for them.

I don't think anything was lost in translation... she screwed up

At the most, she trusted people who really should not be trusted.

At best she tried and failed, but at least she tried, which is FAR more than any person who wants her sacked has ever done.

Not really. She tried on behalf of the Shinawatra family not the country, hence calling Hun Sen  uncle while throwing a Thai general under the bus. Lots have done more than her, her aunt, or her dad. All they have done is pilfer what they can from the country. Even you must see she is not the sharpest tool in the shed.

You make a lot of noise but never seem to be able to back it up with facts or links.

Do you actually have anything that you can take to a court and be proven beyond reasonable doubt?

No facts or links needed the whole world Knows But Nothing gets done about it .

You got Facts and links to prove otherwise ? No , than shut up.

The plane is fueled and the engines on idle. Hurry up guys while the ceasefire is in place in the Gulf. Plenty of work opportunity in Dubai as TikTok content creator (plenty of restaurants) which I have a feeling she’d rather be doing than what she’s been asked to do here.

And you know and have proof of this how exactly?

Were you present at the meeting or do you have first hand verifiable information.

Do tell us all where your gem of information came from?

After all, anybody can write anything on the social media, but proof of the allegations is a lot harder to get.

But facts or links ARE needed for proof.

The onus is on you to back up your words, not me.

You claim it, you own it, you provide the links and and facts.

And FYI, NO, I won't shut up.

What she did in a private phone call to Hun Sen was to belittle the Thai military Commander, saying they/he were/was the opposition and that she was ready to do anything to talk it over.

Sis his boss and not the other way around, at least in the democracies that I have lived in.

It was a phone call not a meeting. I have heard the original telephone conversations and read the translated transcripts. Seems pretty verifiable to me. But of course it will not to you.

I have heard is not proof of anything. I have heard many things in my life but that certainly does not mean that they were all true.

BTW. This is a public forum where anybody can post, so if you don't want to read my posts, you can always put me on your ignore list.

I made no comment about your posts. Seems others have in the past.

Talk about beating around the bush. You can hear her speak and then read the text, what part is confusing to you?

I make no claims as to any expertise in Thai politics, but this looks like a circus to me.
