If activism in the west is a good point of reference, it does not stop at "we want respect." It goes on to foment hatred for anybody who disagrees and demands privilege.

The article doesn't mention activism, it mentions advocacy. They're different.

"Activism and advocacy, while both aimed at creating positive social change, differ in their approaches. Activism typically involves direct, often public, actions to raise awareness and pressure for change, while advocacy focuses on influencing decision-makers and promoting specific policies or reforms. Essentially, activism is about making noise and getting attention, while advocacy is about making a case and getting results. "

I read it again, it actually says LGBTQI+, so I presume the + indicates more categories will be added.

Like all umbrella terms it's flexible. The I refers to Intersex, a medical term coined in 1917 to describe people who do not fit the terms male or female exactly, having certain biological differences. It's been part of the acronyms for a while but it's unusual to see it stated like that and it usually part of the + in LGBTQ+.

No one has to learn all these terms.

OK, like what?

Like a grown man who self identifies as a young pre-teen girl, who enters a swim meet for girls and changes in their bathrooms. Like a hire who is much less qualified but who must be assigned the job because the "decent" thing is to hire a person who is LGBTQ.

or a violent criminal who identifies as a woman to get sent to a women's prison and , predictably, rapes his cell mate. ( and yes it actually happened)

When?

You made the claim, put up or shut up.

Instead of asking me when, you claim it never happened. Perhaps you should be less "proud"

A paywalled article from the NY Post? You can't do better that a scandal sheet? So a transwoman wanted to change clothes, was anyone assaulted? No. Was there ever any intent to assault anyone? No.

If that's all you could find after googling, you are hopeless or in denial

It's all about getting access to the minds of children while they're still young and impressionable.

I think you'll find that's organised religion.

There really isn't any activism. Nobody is grooming kids to be gay or trans, it just happens. The "gay agenda" was invented as a strawman to promote the fascist agenda.

Gotta hand it to those fascists, setting aside over 200 days of each calendar year to celebrate some aspect of LGBTXYZ life.

I'm okay with LGBTQ but not okay with all the activism.

Its sick. They behave like being Gay is some kind of "wonder of the world" when it really is a gang of mentally screwed up people! I never cared about these people before but now they are just damn ANNOYING!!!

Rights are based on people being human beings.

You're just trying to foment hatred towards others.

Disgusting!

This shows a problem some people see with the LGBTQ community. Some feel hurt or attacked too easily. If you often want to be in the spotlight with parades and events, it’s normal that people will have opinions. If you want to be treated like everyone else, maybe stop trying so hard to stand out. In the end, we’re all just people.

Advocates are now pressing the government to expedite the enactment of a gender recognition law, marking this as the next step in securing comprehensive rights for the community.

Two genders Male & Female... easy.

What you call yourself in private is up to you.

If you don't have civil rights, the first rule of business is to become VISIBLE.

Harvey Milk knew that.

Backlash from bigots is always inevitable but moving forward is IMPOSSIBLE without pushing for it.

Yep, If all that is true, then they are a predator and should be punished. 1 person on the whole planet. So you want to deprive an entire class of people over one offender? By that logic, men should have no rights because many more than one have been arrested for predatory behavior.
