Mr Meeseeks Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Thailand was much better, and much more fun, without the Shinawatras. Hopefully their corrupt dynasty will be completely finished this time, thanks to Hun Sen. 1 1

So this applies to everyone (politicians included - is there a bar connected to parliament?) What is the justification? Too many alcoholics, too many suffering from liver issues and stressing the medical system, government collecting too much tax on alcohol and want to help people save money.🙃 They should just ban alcohol altogether in the interests of public health !! 1
actonion Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago More new Rules, Regulations, Clamp downs, but not where it matters, like on the Roads . People die daily due to lack of Rules, Regulations, Enforcements...but they do nothing 1

J Branche Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago The Tourists arrive from all over the world at many different hours. I've seen many in Lotus with their weeks worth of groceries and some beer (alcoholic beverage of choice) only to be denied if it's before 11 am, after 2 pm or before 5 pm. They may also be purchasing something not available at 7-11 or other convenience store. I see both sides as you don't want intoxicated people on the road especially around schools and before people commute home from work. Just wish on the flight in they could play a little overview of key topics to inform visitors. 1
Aussie999 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago The title says "tightening" but isn't it "loosening" current regulations. 1

spidermike007 Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago More stupid rules, exactly what Thailand needs right now. Stricter alcohol rules, which will not reduce consumption on any level and stricter cannabis laws which will only make the police franchisees richer. They keep saying that they want to boost tourism and yet they keep cracking down and making things stricter. If they keep going at this rate Thailand will be Saudi Arabia within 20 years, but without the oil riches. Yikes. This is not a big deal for most of us expats as we prefer Thailand with fewer tourists, I just feel sorry for the locals who are depending on tourism for a living.
Jonathan Swift Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago 17 hours ago, johnnybgood said: ' Effective June 27, sales will only be allowed during specific hours: from 11am to 2pm, and from 5pm to midnight' Does that include beer bars? The Ayatollahs are in control now? No. "Businesses can sell alcohol during their legal operating hours." Plus, there's the independent mom and pop convenience store which make all booze quite convenient 1

RabCNesbitt Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago So now I'm really confused..... I own a licenced bar / restaurant. Service Establishments: 'Businesses can sell alcohol during their legal operating hours'. “Businesses will need to adjust, particularly local bars and restaurants.“ What exactly is a Service Establishment? Our legal operating hours start at 8:00am and finish at Midnight...... can we sell alcoholic beverages during those 'legal operating hours'? There must be a clear definition of a Service Establishment in order to avoid breaking the law!! Anyone have any idea what that is??

ronster Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago So they think a 3 hour gap of sales at certain places is going to moderate people's drinking habits 🙄🙈 Maybe , just maybe the people might buy enough alcohol before 2pm to cover that 3 hour gap !!! 😳 The mind boggles !
kuzmabruk Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago 19 hours ago, snoop1130 said: Service Establishments English definition of Service Establishments Here's a detailed explanation: Focus on Services: Unlike retail stores that sell products, service establishments offer intangible services like haircuts, repairs, or consultations. Examples: Common examples include barber shops, laundromats, auto repair shops, restaurants, beauty salons, and legal or medical offices. Everybody will be hanging out at B-Quik

Why not introduce self responsibility in the country?? Alcohol can be bought at the age of 20 yrs and with doubt an id.....Bartenders should stop servicing drunk people as in many countries is be done... and the judges should give real punishment and fines for those who are drunk behind the wheel or motorcycle.... instead of claiming they are poor so 300 THB is already a lot for them or other excuses "drunk behind the motorcycle." Yeah 🥳🎉✌️🍺🍷🍾🥃

sabaijai Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Misleading headline. Alcohol sales restrictions have actually been relaxed, it appears.

Nothing new! Goodbye, miss Thaskin Shinawat, hopefully ya last harrah! A few months ago Thaksin was sitting pretty his daughter had not called her uncle and things looked good. NOW PTPO is on the verge of extinction and he is on his way to Dubai eXPLAIN PLESE WHAT IS A SERVICE ESTABLISHMENT

A service establishment is a business that primarily provides services to the public, rather than selling tangible goods. These services can range from personal care and grooming (like a salon or barber shop) to maintenance and repair (like laundry or appliance repair), or even professional services like legal or financial advice. Essentially, it's a place where people go to receive assistance, benefit from skilled labor, or have tasks performed for them. Have tasks performed for them..........happy ending massages.......maybe.....
Look Chang Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago With time, you get used to everything. I buy my beer during legal hours and I can drink it at home with my friends 24 hours a day.
