It definately increased the sheer volume of dirty bag tourists. Even from the UK, they've had an influx of Bendiorm Brits, whose sole vice is to consume drugs, do not mix with local culture, and them smash someones face to end the night. 

 

THe reputation of Thailand has been dirt. Coming back from Thailand i have been stopped countless times, and was told by customs in Amsterdam that they are targetting flights from Thailand due to the volume of marijuana being smuggled out.

No ... if they were concerned about the unwanted mass of total dirtbags visiting TH, then they would ban alcohol to tourist.   Potheads cause little to no problems, compared to drunks & alkys.  

 

The fake media coverage of deranged weed users is to brainwash the ignorant masses for the need of more control of the industry.

 

They, tax man & medical industry, just trying to get their share, as the proliferation of weed shops and public use surprised the hell out of them.

 

PoPo & lawyers, corrupt prosecutor & judges, also loss a cash cow.  Not to mention the corrupt officials that use to control the illegal distribution before the decriminalization.

Too many Brits caught with kilos of weed at the airports, thus making the Thai govt lose face. 

 

You could say the Brits have single-handedly ruined legal weed for all.

Never mind whether 80% or even 98%. The majority should not have a mandate to oppress minorities.

I see within Pattaya area tons of doo rag wearing lowlifes smoking blunts in the street and acting like they be back on the corner in da hood.

 

Maybe it's just low season and the airfares and hotels were more affordable for them ,,,,,,,,
