Hi,i suffer pretty badly with white coat sydrome so consequently any visit to a hospital or dentist elevates my blood pressure.Does anyone out there know of a good dentist in the Pattaya or Jomtien area that does not insist on taking a bp test?

By the way,at home my bp averages out at about 128/70.

Thanks

Same.

My BP always Elevated at Dentists/Doctors.

BP normal at home.

It can be  normal to have higher reading at these practices due to travelling, waiting etc.  At home your less stressed.

I went to the dentist last week to have 4 fillings,  very good, didn't feel a thing.

Proud Dental Clinic,  Jomtien.  No BP was done.

That's a Vietnamese thing, they usually take your blood pressure before Novacain injection.

Has never happened to me in Thailand, and I have been to lots of dentists, both in Thailand and Vietnam.

Just tell them no BP check...tell them what it was when you checked it.

For dentistry, I've only used BK H Pattaya and BK H Khon Kaen.  Very high quality for the services I've had, including regular 6-month check-ups, cleaning, X-rays, fillings, and an implant.  The price is very reasonable for what you are getting.  NOS not available at BK H P dental department, fyi.  Also, they provide all the paperwork and receipts for easy insurance filing.

When you see a doctor at BK Hospital Pattaya,  IME they always take your BP and temperature.  Even when going to dermatology or cosmetic in a different building.

That's just the usual scam trying to justify nurses fee, one reason people go to clinics before hospitals

Yeah, I've noticed this over the last couple of years, taking your BP.

I'd say too many foreigners these days dropping dead on the dentist chair.

They do it in Thailand, mine used to be quite routine about it but these days it seems to be an occasional thing. No extra charge on the bill like the hospitals do thankfully!

Yes, probably true.  If we were self-pay, I'd probably shop around.
