Living In Laos

are there any members living in Laos??? does anybody know if its possible ?? would be interesting to know what the visa rules are for long stays with "our next door neighbour" anybody have any info ??

Hi Possom, actually I also want to know some more information about this subject. I also have the idea, when times become worse for farangs here in Thailand, to move to Laos, which also is a beautiful country !

Anybody some information concerning visa's and other interesting stuff ?

Laos tourist visa, 30 dol for 15 days, so how much for months???

The only question should be: can we stay as much as we want and bribe the cops when they come!?

Sounds like an interesting long stay.

On the french embassy website, they write 30 dol for the first 15 days, and then 2 dol a day.

So 60 us dol a month, 2400 tbht.

But they don't write anything about any maximum stay.

So what about overstay there? Are Laos prison confortable? ;-)
