In a bizarre outburst, the man questioned the presence of the rescue team, insisting that he had already contacted his insurance provider and did not require further assistance. Friends, also foreign nationals, were seen trying to calm him down at the scene.

Superficially, that might point to him not wanting "a test" Let's see what the results were but it seems he has already been charged with something

rescuers found that the driver was a foreign national employed as a teacher at a well-known school in Phatthalung. He had reportedly been returning from a night out at an entertainment venue.

Is he the normal "teacher" who is apparently getting 30,000 baht to party all day and all night.........great role model.  White face, so hired.  Was he driving drunk?  Another great role model for your kids.  Probably a Brit, probably smashed or pissed or whatever, and I'm even curious if he actually has a degree.

4 a.m.  Probably screaming, demanding to let go, forget about this accident, take 20 baht and leave me alone, probably screamed for hours and hours..... typical fake "teachers".......yes, another role model at a prestigious school that cannot be named.

These are the "teachers" to help the future of Thailand.   Thai teachers with the same experience actually get paid more, but can take loans out from a bank to the tune of millions.

If I had a satang for every farang "teacher" I saw drinking and talking about drinking.........I'd be Elon Musk rich.

How are teachers in Thailand able to afford automobiles, is what I would like to know.

Having a Thai wife or friend to sign for them. Payments can be low, especially if it's a used car.

In recognition of their lousy salaries, the government give them access to very cheap loans.......which are severely abused.

good point, that is pretty rare.   maybe mommy and daddy helped him, but soon the allowance is shut off as he shams the family name!!!!!  Yelling at Thais!!!!  Disrespecting the culture, the people, and the profession.  hahahhahahahhahahahhahah.

Schools charging 45k a semester to be "taught" by drunks.

this is the way.

friends were also likely fake "teachers".

it's such an easy group to troll, they never fail to disappoint.

like ANY farang in Pattaya.......always up to no good.  100%

Thais, yes.  Foreigners, no.   Thais take a zillion and wonder why they are in massive debt for life.  schools then don't fire them.  they can't quit.  must repay.  That's for another thread.

Does your crystal ball give the Thai lottery results as well?

Ypu seem to say a lot about the driver, especially as the police have not released any information about him.

Or are you just jumping to conclusions again?

Why are you defensively asking these questions? Is this story about your 15 minutes of fame?

Bit of a facepalm really on this one, looks like he was asking for it, very reckless. Driving your car around at that time, probably a DUI too, and you crash into a sign and then take umbridge with the rescue services, plus the cops show up and you have bottles of booze on the passenger seat... you're done. This "teacher" has just got himself a one-way ticket home.

As for the comment about how do teachers afford cars, well, guess it depends what type of teacher you are and where you work. If you are a teacher at some high school like Assumption, then yeah, more difficult to afford one on that 30-35k a month... but if you work at an international school or top-tier university, then the salaries are much higher.
