The red eye effect

Featured Replies

I ran out of Visine which works great for red eye. After a few hits my eyes turn blood red, like a zombie.

I bought Clear Eyes from the herb place online and besides being pricey, it's bogus and fake. I've bought it before and it stings badly but it got the red out. Now, it doesn't sting and doesn't get the red out.

Any recommendations from your personal experience.

Finding out what gives you the red eyes might help, such as seasonal allergies, dust, smoke or dry eyes, where artificial tears can help. I have contacts and long ago learned not to rub my eyes when they're itchy but use a towel with cool water, which works most of the time. Just like those using nasal sprays besides saline will get a  rebound effect with a runny nose, using Visine over a long period can do the same thing. It also doesn't cure what's causing the red eyes..........https://www.healthline.com/health/eye-redness

I posted in the cannibis region for a reason. If you know, you know. Red eye caused from smoking marijuana.

But, thanks for your sincere response.

I understand as that happens to a lot from smoking anything. One thing you could use is a pair of goggles while smoking, which isn't as crazy as it sounds.

The smoke itself isn't the reason for red eye, it's the THC I suppose.

It can be irritants or THC, as it causes dilation in the blood vessels of the eyes. If that's it, the only recourse is that cool compress after smoking and time.

Alcon Systane Ultra in the 10ml bottle.

Do you use it or friends that use it.

I doubt this is much help, but in the UK there used to be a product  called "eye dew"  I think its main ingredient was witchazel . It certainly worked, if anything it worked a bit too well as in we could tell who used it coz their  eyes were just too white  It might be available mail order   it comes in a tiny bottle so postage would be cheap
