A lot of Uni girls get-by by 'working'........I supported one for a whole year way back.

I did say "not as high" vs "almost all" with the rest....that is to say an avenue to getting a gf who is/was not a hooker.

I pass, as I got no idea – I'm former rock musician – I stopped counting ages ago...:whistling:

And there is me thinking this was going to be a compassionate post about all the people killed (the body count) in Gaza and Ukraine; then I looked to see who posted the thread. Obviously, he wouldn't care about such things!

Instead, I see references to bargirls and the like and realise that real live people are considered as just "bodies".

And if you must know, I am in the over 1,000 category!!

For the purpose only of seeking some attention!

Late bloomer. Only two dozen, all in on three continents. Then again, half were here in Thailand. When I arrived I was a fat boy in the candy store. Now over the hill but with memories to recall and brings a smile.

Simple math. An expat living in Pattaya for 10 YEARS @ 1 girl a week = 52 P.A x 10 = 520 Girls hardly a massive number.

I am sure many expats, including me in the day, would average more than 1 a week!

Oh, and for krillins benefit, never had an STD.

I was curious why it only goes to 300 before specifying IN Thailand?

I come from an era when the husband was the provider, and the wife was the person who made a home. It was that way for 28 years. You obviously are a fair bit younger than me, to be posting what you do.

I don't have a problem with being a provider in Thailand, it's a much better aged care plan than I would have in my home country.

IMO the number of foreigners who actually have relationships with Thai women on an equal economic basis is very low. Feel free to post data which contradicts that opinion.

Fact is, the vast majority of women in Thailand are in dire financial straits. Most can look forward to a pension of 600 baht/month when they are 60. No wonder they seek out foreigners.

Having a Thai wife on an equal financial footing, as you claim, is no reason to be a snob and bigot about others.

The era you are talking about must be the victorian times as my mum who would have been 104 now and my dad 113, they worked all of their lives as did most other couples from their generation and the generations since.

Yes, I agree, most of the farang blokes I have come across marry poor Thai women, the reason being they could not get a professional type of Thai so they settle for what they get, and in many cases the woman is with them for their money.

Also many of these guys live in Isan and are surrounded by many other poor people, their view of Thailand is biased.

I am not a snob and bigot about others, I was merely trying to balance the truth that not all Thais women are poor, there are very many who have made their own way in life, many farangs have never come across such women.

I can understand farangs getting upset about the truth I come out with as they are in denial, they have probably already found out why their wife is with them.

My mother did not work after I was born. My wife did not work after my son was born in 1973.

Has it occurred to you a relationship that started out as transactional can develop into some thing else?

I can accept a professional Thai woman can marry a foreigner IF they are in the same age cohort. Permit me to doubt they will select a partner 20-30 years older than them.

Their reasons are probably not financial, but related to perceived attentiveness and broader perspectives they don't get with Thai men.

What is the age gap between you and your wife?

My GF is my aged care plan. She has already demonstrated her care for my well-being.

I think you are kidding yourself.

Thai men don’t want to marry the bargirls with kids to other men.

To that walking public health threat: it doesn't matter which country those women were from; whoever you are, congratulations, you have or have had one or more STDs and likely have illegitimate children you might or might not know about. Sicko. You should move either next door to a clinic or set up shop next to a dumpster behind a 7-Eleven at your rate.

Remember that Ancestry and 23andMe exist, so the children you've left behind will eventually find you, a close family member, or a cousin. And then it's only a matter of asking which family member spent time in Thailand. You can run, but you won't be able to hide forever. Child support payments and mentally scarred children will find you, you lunatic.

Who on here would care about the 'body count' in Gaza or Ukraine?

About this counting, there is a huge difference between free sex and paid sex.

I would say my free body count is about  5 - 10

And my paid body count is probably over 1000

They would be considered lazy in many countries around the world, most people work if the can not matter their sex.

My Thai partner is six years younger than me, she like most other Thai women do not marry guys 20+ years old than themselves, have a look around next time you are in a large shopping center and you will see.

I do not know what an "aged care plan" is, we did not have any transactional or set plans when we decided to get together, we just got on so well and it became a natural progression.

As I said before, I come from a culture when the husband was the provider, and the wife was the homemaker.

My Thai GF is 23 years younger than me. She is my aged care plan. If I am in a wheelchair or doolally, she will be taking care of me.

When I had a bout of bacterial pneumonia a few months ago, she slept on the floor next to my hospital bed for two nights, to care for me.

I can assure you it is a better plan than being in a for-profit aged care facility in Australia, being fed garbage, and left in soiled bedclothes for hours.

If you doubt that statement, I suggest you read the findings of the Royal Commission into Aged Care there.
