Wikipedia exhibits a **mild to moderate left-wing bias** in its English-language content, according to recent studies. A 2024 Manhattan Institute analysis found that Wikipedia articles tend to associate right-of-center public figures with more negative sentiment and left-of-center figures with more positive emotions like joy[1][2][3]. This bias appears in articles on recent U.S. presidents, senators, Supreme Court justices, and Western prime ministers, among others[1][3].

Earlier research also showed Wikipedia articles on U.S. politics leaned pro-Democratic by favoring terms associated with Democrats over Republicans[1][2]. Wikipedia’s arbitration and enforcement processes have demonstrated institutional favoritism toward left-of-center views as well[1][2].

However, some research and reports suggest that this political bias is not uniform, with certain topics or groups showing no bias or even slight bias against the left[1][2]. Wikipedia’s content overall, however, is often found comparable in neutrality and accuracy to traditional encyclopedias like Britannica[1][4].

Wikipedia co-founder Larry Sanger has publicly stated he believes Wikipedia has a significant left-leaning ideological bias, especially as it has moved away from strict neutrality[1][3]. Media and commentators have noted that this leftward bias in Wikipedia can influence large AI models trained on its content, spreading the bias further[3].

In summary, expert analyses and researcher consensus indicate that Wikipedia’s content shows a **left-wing bias**, especially in political topics related to U.S. and Western politics, although it is described as moderate rather than extreme[1][3][4].

Being right-wing, logical fallacies are your preferred tool. Avoid the topic at hand, change the subject, straw-man arguments... that's all you've got.

Generic criticisms of Wikipedia are a waste of time. The subject is the dishonesty of Pierre Kory, and the Wikipedia article shows that he is a fraud, liar and scammer.

A valid response addresses what is raised by the Wikipedia article. That will involve following the links, researching facts and evaluating the evidence. You can't do that, can you? It would result in your having to change your mind, wouldn't it?

Right-wingers hate evidence and having to change their minds in response to an evaluation. As the like goes, "Facts have a well-known liberal bias".

So, tell us, what silly irrelevancy you can manufacture now? Whatever you do, don't address the facts... you've got an image to maintain. BWAHAHA!

Once again, you rely on wikipedia. Bring court documents that have convicted him of fraud that you allege, and I will read it. Until then, wikipedia is a crowd sourced "encyclopedia" that holds zero credibility. The ball is in your court mr prosecutor.

"Bring court documents"??? Wow, you take 'desperate" to a whole new level. It's not up to me to make up for your intellectual laziness.

Have you, or have you not, followed the Wikipedia references that show, beyond any doubt that Kory is a fraud and a scammer? The give-away is that he is selling magical cures - just another shyster.

Go on... follow the links. Get to the reports  by PhDs with decades of experience, who are sick to death of having to waste their time with con-men and people like you who are out of your depth, in an area you don't understand.

You right-wing nuts really are a joke. Fox News admitted in a court of law that they lie to their client base and do not employ fact-checkers. If truth and accuracy meant anything, FN would have lost customers by the tens of millions. But their job is to tell foolish people what they want to hear, so their loyal base stays and gets fed lies every hour of the day. Pardon me if I stick to factual evaluation.

You are making the claims, you bring the proof. I can’t be arsed to go read Wikipedia. You are quick to cite “Fox News” as lying to people, yet you believe Wikipedia to be unbiased and the absolute truth.

Your factual evaluation are “facts” that suit your own opinions. Next you are going to tell me “science is settled” and the statement of “I am science” by Fauci is accepted by every scientist on the planet.

Scaremongering for some is a hobby. But it is very dangerous and damaging to all our children because immunisation depends on the population being vaccinated

This article is from the Guardian a reputable newspaper taking about "Herd immunity"

Childhood immunisation rates for other communicable diseases also remain at pre-pandemic rates, well off the 95% needed for herd immunity. In all, 115 million infants and young children (89% of the total) received at least one dose of the diphtheria, tetanus and whooping cough (DTP) jab in 2024, while 85% had all three. Vaccination rates for polio and hepatitis B declined to 93% and 91% respectively.

Dr Hans Kluge, the WHO regional director for Europe, said: “Last year alone, nearly 300 000 people got whooping cough in our region, more than a threefold increase on the previous year. Meanwhile, over 125 000 caught measles in 2024 – twice as many as 2023. These are not just numbers, it’s hundreds of thousands of families in anguish because their children are sick, and it could have been prevented.

“Vaccines save lives, and when coverage drops, disease spreads. That’s why countries must invest in strong local health systems, ensure vaccines are available and accessible in every neighbourhood, and fight misinformation.”

Sabrina Bacci, of the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control, said: “Strong routine immunisation systems are the best tool we have to protect us from diseases that can be prevented by safe and effective vaccines. This way, we protect ourselves and communities that are particularly vulnerable to diseases like measles, including children who are too young to be vaccinated or those who cannot be immunised for medical reasons.

“Vaccination is not only an act of self-protection but one of solidarity at the same time – and one which offers both immediate and long-term benefits.”

We have to ask ourselves why these scaremongering promote anti science theories and spread antivax conspiracies?

Yep, totally predicable - you right-wing dunces are all the same... this time, it's back to the old straw-man argument, then you change the subject. Yawn.

At no time did I say that Wikipedia is unbiased and the absolute truth. You made that up. I happen to be a genuine expert in a particular area, and I know that the main Wikipedia article on that subject is flawed. There are statements that are wrong, and I know it. But here's the thing... what's there is "in good faith", which I rate as a a very important concept. I am in discussion with the posters in the subject, and their wish is to be factual, and we will iron things out eventually. Contrast that with Trump, a "not in good faith" actor, whose sole driver is personal benefit. He's even been found guilty in a court of law of stealing from a charity.

then again, here is a detailed Wikipedia article - try finding errors in it!  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pi

Here are some sources that show that Kory is a fraud and a liar. Do some work - read and evaluate. If need be, change your mind. That's what intellectually-honest people do. Try it! Or you can hide behind "can't be arsed", which is just code for "I am a bigot who loves having my biases confirmed - I don't care about the truth".

Pierre Kory has had his board certifications revoked by the American Board of Internal Medicine for "spreading false or inaccurate medical information."

What part of that fact is an opinion?

Thousands of premature babies in the UK can now be protected against a common winter virus which can cause a dangerous lung infection, and sometimes kill.

The injection will provide them "with a protective bubble" against RSV (respiratory syncytial virus) in time for the colder months, NHS medics said.

Most babies are protected via vaccination late in pregnancy, but babies born before 32 weeks are more vulnerable to life-threatening infections from the virus.

From late September, 9,000 babies and young children at risk across the UK will be offered a dose of the drug nirsevimab through the NHS.

RSV usually causes coughs and colds, but can make some children very ill with breathing problems, pneumonia and a lung infection called bronchiolitis.

According to NHS England, premature babies are three times more likely to go to hospital with RSV and are 10 times more likely to need intensive care compared with full-term babies.

Every year around 30,000 children in the UK aged under five need hospital care because of the virus, and around 30 don't survive.

The drug offers six months' protection in a single dose, and is more than 80% effective.

Neo-natal clinics will deliver the injection to premature babies. Families of vulnerable infants with heart or lung conditions or weakened immune systems will be advised by their medical teams how to get the jab before this winter.

"It will offer a long-lasting defence, helping to avoid unnecessary hospitalisations and serious illness, giving babies the best possible start in life and shielding them from harm," said Dr Claire Fuller, co-national medical director for NHS England.

This good news for little, weak babies born prematurely and thus susceptible to bacterial infections because they lack the natural strength to fight them.

Same way all these boys give permission to have a little bit chopped off I imagine......but at least a vaccine offers something other than genital mutilation.

I was circumcised shortly after birth, don't remember any of it. I'm assuming it was for personal hygiene, as my parents were not religious.

I don't regard it as genital mutilation, any more than I would regard appendix removal as mutilation. My attitude would no doubt change if the procedure was done in my teens.

Given the number of potential infections  AI cites as prevalent in intact males, I am quite happy I was circumcised as an infant.

Female circumcision is an entirely different kettle of fish. That IS mutilation.

Being circumcised is equivalent to saying.....as soon as their adult teeth are through pull the <deleted> out....... on the grounds the kid won't brush them and keep them clean and in a good condition.

Circumcision is a dirty person's way of not having to keep themselves clean.

Every Jewish or Muslim parent apparently thinks so.

In my birth era, it was probably regarded as a sensible public health measure. The individual risk of adverse consequences is probably even less than infant vaccination.

I am happy to be exempt from balanitis, phimosis, paraphimosis, and smegma, and at lower risk of UTI's.

Or, your (our) parents should have taught boys personal hygiene, like all responsible parents should.

No need to be chopping bits off.

Tyson and Dallas Shaw were found dead in their crib at 18 months of age

Last month, Children's Health Defense asked me to review the hospital records of two young Mennonite girls in Texas who died from what the hospital and our Pharma-controlled media claimed was the measles.

In that post, < https://pierrekorymedicalmusings.com/p/my-expert-review-of-the-medical-records > I provided the evidence from the medical records that, contrary to the fear-mongering Pharma-media hype, their deaths were not from measles but stemmed from a staggering, near criminal cascade of medical incompetence, repeatedly botching the treatment of routine bacterial pneumonias—one of the most basic conditions hospitals face daily.

Instead, those so-called “measles deaths” fueled a colossal media disinformation blitz, falsely branding measles as a deadly scourge to terrorize parents into vaccinating their children. As a physician who has devoted five years of my life and career (at significant personal and professional costs) to combating scientific Disinformation campaigns (ivermectin, Covid vaccines, chlorine dioxide, IV vitamin C, among others), attacking the immense, decades-long Disinformation campaign supporting childhood vaccines is my latest endeavor.

The immense anger that this one triggers in me sets itself apart from the others, mainly because the children are defenseless, have no voice or agency, and innumerable of their lives are either ended like the Shaw twins or destroyed with life-long chronic illnesses, the saddest of which is severe autism (known by the CDC), relegating them to lives of dependence upon their parents for care without the ability to have hobbies, careers, marriages, friends etc.

So, moving from the lie that measles is dangerous or deadly (it is not), let’s now examine the lie that childhood vaccines do not cause SIDS. What you will learn about the lethality of vaccines to infants (those under one year old) will shock you, as it shocked me.

The tragic cases of the Idaho twins rip apart the insidious myth that vaccines are “safe and effective.” Nothing could be further from the truth. It’s utterly maddening that countless parents remain oblivious to the damning evidence, blindly marching their precious infants to pediatricians for so-called “well-baby visits”—a ritual that, for some, is tantamount to delivering them to an executioner. Too extreme? Read the rest of this post, and then you can make an informed judgment as to the soundness of that statement.

OMG SIDS is caused by vaccines - people survive illnesses because of vaccines - people do die because of vaccines but it's all about risk/reward - using a particular issue (whilst very sad for those involved)  to make a general conclusion (probably because you are a vaccine denier) is reprehensible.

Nothing in this life is without risk.
