The prohibition of poison or poisoned weapons is a long-standing rule of customary international law already recognized in the Lieber Code and the Hague Regulations.[1] “Employing poison or poisoned weapons” constitutes a war crime in international armed conflicts under the Statute of the International Criminal Court.

..

The prohibition of the use of poison or poisoned weapons is understood as outlawing such practices as the smearing of bullets with poison or poisoning the food and drink of the adverse party. In their explanation of the application of this rule, several military manuals specify that the prohibition of poison extends to poisoning wells and other water supplies.

Must not have been water supplied by the Russians themselves, but from water they took from stores in towns they took control of. The same thing happened earlier in the war when they were poisoned by vodka they took from a store. Gorilla warfare.

No, they can't.

There are laws of war. Once Russia wins this war they will have every right to bring those cowardly Ukrainian poisoners to justice.

Absolutely disgraceful.

Until they lose the war, which they are now losing, and surrender.  After which time the war crime trials begin.  To the winner goes the spoils.

Hey Ruskie/Putin lover......the garbage you post on this forum daily...

Another pot calling the kettle black by Cameroni....

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poisoning_of_Sergei_and_Yulia_Skripal

The Soviet Union and Russia reportedly developed extremely potent fourth-generation chemical weapons from the 1970s until the early 1990s, according to a publication by two chemists, Lev Fyodorov and Vil Mirzayanov, in Moskovskiye Novosti weekly in 1992.[28][29][b] The publication appeared just on the eve of Russia's signing of the Chemical Weapons Convention. According to Mirzayanov, the Russian Military Chemical Complex (MCC) was using defence conversion money received from the West for development of a chemical warfare facility.[8][9] Mirzayanov made his disclosure out of environmental concerns. He was the head of a counter-intelligence department and performed measurements outside the chemical weapons facilities to make sure that foreign spies could not detect any traces of production. To his horror, the levels of deadly substances were eighty times greater than the maximum safe concentration.[9][31]

Skripal was a traitor, the woman's offence, so he was punished with poison, the woman's weapon. That's justice.

However, whilst Russia has the most advanced chemical weapons programme in the world, it has refrained from using it on Ukrainian soldiers. This restraint by Russia is surely now under reconsideration.

If Russia wanted to do so it could unleash chemical warfare hell on Ukrainian soldiers, however, in this regard Russia has adhered to the laws of war.

Clearly as regards poisoning Ukraine has not.

They were just using Putin's favorite ploy except they didn't put it in the soldier's underwear like Putin did for Navalny.

Putin uses poisoning very sparingly and only on people who really deserve it. Like traitors.

However, to poison the common soldier. That's just despicable.

lol.... lots of collateral damage to innocents from Putin's poisonous pastime.  None so far from poisoning by Ukraine.
