"When I give a thumbs down to a cult member, it usually disappears of it's own"

Nonsense, both of them.  Members do not have the facility to remove other members' opinions/posted emojis.

Did I say members remove them?

If you want to be smart alec, then better read my post correctly

You didn't say that but your post suggested it, the only other conclusion to be drawn is that you're accusing Admin of censoring posts/emojis.  Since when has responding to a comment been acting as a smart alec?

There are certain idiots who hold a grudge and stick a thumbs down on any posts by the person they disagree with/dislike.   They will put it on posts they don't even read, they will put it o

How about this???....putting a thumbs down  automatically opens a text box into which you must post a response of no less than twenty words.....otherwise the forum is locked for you.

How would you know that?

Commenting on the same lines as you does not mean that I am just "repeating some of your posts", we are allowed to have similar opinions to those already posted.  Every post that I comment on I read, yes.

Sure, you're free to agree with my posts and put it in your own words.

I appreciate it.

Posting short replies, but many of them.

Starting too many topics every week.

Posting many replies as fast as they can type.

Disrespecting moderators, or breaking forum rules.

Giving thumbs down on multiple posts in a thread without any other participation.

Agreed, although you did miss the ones who post the same viewpoint like a broken record.

I probably fit into that category as well.

Have you ever seen him agree with a post?

You said yesterday that I was on ignore but here you are replying in less than one minute to a post of mine.

Just more lies from you as usual.

How about restoring the full range of emojis,   the thumbs down became "popular" because the others like  sad and confused where removed.

And why where they removed ?  because of thin skinned complainers moaning that they couldn't handle being given sad and/or confused emojis  FFS !!!

eventually there will be no emoji options  then what will the thin skinned moaners moan about ?

If you haven't noticed, political posts and troll post are promoted on the right-hand side of the forum as hot "Topics" and "Most Popular."
Post something that is of significant social commentary and the post gets buried and essentially shadow-banned. It provides you with a window into what AN means to consider to be important:  bob smith, Lewie London, SoCal1990, GammaGobulin and the various "bob smith" cutouts whose posts are immediately highlighted as "popular" and are given precedence over everything else of substance. This forum lives on bickering, trolling, tosh, and twaddle - in my humble opinion.

For this comment you'll get 5 stars . Thanks

I quite liked those days when you could see who posted what emojis .......it spurs you on to be more vitriolic......but I also think many would think twice before sticking, say, a thumbs down on a post just because of the poster rather than the content of the post

I'm sure you can figure out how that happens.

For example see a post of GG from 16 hours ago, with half a page of replies. marked as popular

Remove the anonymizer function and I'll guarantee we will see >90% reduction.

I totally agree that giving of emoji reactions should not be anonymous,   it was much better when everyone could see who gave the reactions...mods however said it was used for "stalking" so removed it...

then later  confused and sad emojis removed too..so now the only "negative" reaction is the thumbs down  which is getting much more use  as its the only option (emoji option) left.

In my opinion, making them anonymous has just the opposite effect. It promotes stalking

It's not that they don't like it, the majority of the cult members here would struggle to put 10 words together, unless a meme with 20 words would count as the same

Who would show it how to get from it's basement to a bar for that beer and who would want to meet it?

Or down the stairs from over 7/11..........😋

Maybe it will start a Poll asking if anyone would want to meet it?

Make a thread, reply to yourself 10x as quick as you can ....

Hot topic, and popular topic!

No other posters required.

IMO, it is much better than the two emojis it replaced. It simply means "I don't like your post" or "I don't agree with you". Clear and concise.

How do you know the age of any poster unless they have stated it?
