Times have changed and times are strange
Here I come but I ain't the same
Mama, I'm coming home
Times go bye, seems to be
You could have been a better friend to me
Mama, I'm coming home
You took me in and you drove me out
Yeah, you had me hypnotized, yeah
Lost and found and turned around
By the fire in your eyes
You made me cry, you told me lies
But I can't stand to say goodbye
Mama, I'm coming home
I could be right, I could be wrong
It hurts so bad it's been so long
Mama, I'm coming home
Selfish love yeah we're both alone
The ride before the fall, yeah
But I'm gonna take this heart of stone
I just got to have it all
I've seen your face a hundred times
Everyday we've been apart
And I don't care about the sunshine, yeah
'Cause mama, mama, I'm coming home
I'm coming home
You took me in and you drove me out
Yeah, you had me hypnotized
Lost and found and turned around
By the fire in your eyes
I've seen your face a thousand times
Everyday we've been apart
And I don't care about the sunshine, yeah
'Cause mama, mama, I'm coming home
I'm coming home, I'm coming home
I'm coming home

He always seemed more like a public figure than a fantastic musician. He didn't do much for me. And that family reality show he did was totally embarrassing.

Just noticed that while I'm reading this the band in the adjacent bar is playing Paranoid. Wonder if they even got the news yet. RIP Ozzy.

Thai cover band? If so, they may not even know his name. 😊

The Thai rock bands grew up worshipping Sabbath, along with Purple, Zeppelin and the rest. If your idea of Ozzy Osbourne and his extraordinary influence on rock music is limited to TV reality shows, get a grip man - you're not worthy to comment in this thread.

I listened to Sabbath back in seventies. They had a moment, but I was never over the moon with them. And they failed to stay relevant. Purple were great, much better than Sabbath. And Zeppelin, miles above Sabbath. I remember Black Sabbath being more like a Blue Oyster Cult.

Sure they failed to stay relevant, so did every other great band of that era. But their body of influential work was hardly a moment, more like half a decade. They introduced the devil's interval (the tritone / diminished fifth that was historically banned by the church) into heavy rock. Their influence was monumental!

I must say you know your timing 😄

The man is dead, Im sure you can wait until it appropriate to start dissing a newly dead man that inspired a whole generation. He was part of my early Rock Roll experience among many other bands, but I haven’t listened much to him since then, except today to brush off some dust from some really nice memories.
