Colonoscopy

Featured Replies

Can anyone recommend a hospital or clinic in or near  Bangkok that can do a colonoscopy

any hospital could do it.  Its not pleasant though, and they don't normally knock you out first,  Normally less than 10,000 bt  plus any additional costs for biopsy etc  if req'd.

Good luck

I was quoted 60k in Bkk, some charges look cheaper but there are add ons like the biopsy which can cost a lot.

MRI and CT scans if required are expensive too ,  xrays not too bad,  just had the tumour removed last week for 70,000  which was less than the chemo / radio therapy costs

My wife did it at bangpakok hospital 6 months ago. She did a colon/endo combo and asked to be admitted overnight in the hospital because that way her work insurance would have to pay it. The cost was around 35,000 baht (including 2 polyp removals in her esophagus).

Amazingly I have a colonoscopy scheduled for today in Toronto, in about 6 hours. I highly recommend paying for an overnight stay at the hospital. Trust me, the prep is not pleasant. Here, I don't have the option to stay overnight, so I have to do the prep at home. I still have two liters of liquid to drink to finish cleaning out my bowels. I am worried I might not make it to the exam without an accident in the taxi.

Thats not bad which hospital was that?

Had mine at Bumrungrad in around 2018.  30,000 baht, although there were no polyps to be removed which would have cost extra.

In and out in a few hours.  Prepared the night before at home.

Some promotions say, 'no insurance'.  Not sure about this one...I will pay cash and then submit the bill to my insurance for reimbursement.
