In some areas in Northern England locals are outnumbered by Pakistani's. What they do is get a teenage girl from a School to gain the respect and trust with a friend with the promise of a new phone or Alcahol' Ciggies if they meet there " Boyfriend " who is then groomed mostly Drugged and then took to a flat or Bedsit where the Rape Gang is waiting. Then she is threatened or her family is threatened and there hooked. Even if you are brave enough to go to the police some officers are implicit and join in raping the Girl.

While the blame for grooming gangs is like a hot potato, we should remember that it all started in the 1980s (Margaret Thatcher's period of Tory rule) and continued until from 2010 to mid-2024 under various Tory governments without much being done.

Now, people seem to think Starmer is responsible for not doing much, which is true to an extent, but it does seem to be that neither party has done much at all.

 

It was not even known what the term grooming was a few years ago Purdey, with no Mobile phones in Maggies days. We do not see gangs of white men kidnapping kids to rape and then Traffic them around the Country.

Most evidence points to mid to late 90's, with police and Authorities being made aware from 2001. And it wasn't until years later, that it started making it into the public domain.

Exactly Cyclist we had never heare'd the Term Grooming gangs 15 years ago in the UK. I don't need to start looking for Evidence this is when this term was penned in the mid nineties. This term was 1st mentioned by Tommy Robinson who was accused of spreading lies purporting that these were commited by Pakistani men.

I'm going to suggest that 1980's is a typo and should read 1990's.

 

There have been no prosecutions, trials and convictions related to the late 1980's of Grooming / Rape gangs, mainly of men of Pakistani heritage.

 

Operation Stovewood, which has arrested over 500 pending further inquiries, might have uncovered some from the late 1980's, but they certainly have not been to Court, tried and convicted.
