Attract tourists ha ha. The end section of Jomtien is just a very wide area of sand, with no shade and no parking, which is always totally empty.

  • Should last a year or two before getting washed away

  • Look at the above picture.....Jomtien beach is fine as it is.....There is plenty of sand their now.....Ok Pattayas beach was gone and the beach extension was needed..   The beach extentions

is there ever a time when they are not doing any sort of works here?

SOmetimes just leave the place alone. OR DO IT PROPERLY ONCE.

...Ah yes ..the relentless complaints column The locals are trying to improve things ..the air the water the traffic the environment but all these whining idiots in the complaints column out compete each other for the most disparaging comments ....the keyboard warrior lives on ...slowly dying out .....kept alive by validating themselves in a coffee fuelled echo chambers of like minded cave dwellers fending off the Loneliness of empty lives & superficial  human encounters and/or relationships.

Nothing whatsoever about "locals trying to improve things" Hoss. It's about the city hall/concrete, palms contractors kickbacks cabal. Even Stevie Wonder can see what's going on. You arrived yesterday or a Thai apologist or in oblivious denial. That is, if you are even in Thailand at all.

And this is one example of "locals trying to improve things" : Near Lam pho seafood market in Naklua IMG_20250520_094332.jpg.b7a39b7bcdcef7102be1fb1cadf3e369.jpgIMG_20250520_094243.jpg.1b804ae94446f4cae7697fa5b974806d.jpg

And the real improvements like this drainage from S. Jomtiem beach rd to water are never seen again. Instead this ridiculou$ horizontal drain pipe mess all along Jomtiem beach that like the Pattaya beach project most likely will fail (filled up with sand .  Requiring portable pumps as can be seen along Pattaya beachScreenshot_2025-08-08-08-23-23-72.jpg.06a779a771fa7ee029e8cfc7098f6b11.jpgScreenshot_2025-08-08-08-23-16-11.jpg.99ada937024f1340db1abb4dd951a87e.jpgIMG_20250808_082418.jpg.cee83094ccddc2607790761cdc4b7786.jpg
