A fire broke out on a car transport lorry in Bangkok’s Nong Chok district on the evening of 30mJuly, damaging two vehicles and sending plumes of smoke into the air before firefighters brought the blaze under control.

The incident occurred near Soi Suwinthawong 40 on Suwinthawong Road. At approximately 18:55, the Rama 199 emergency radio centre received a report via the 199 hotline of a vehicle fire initially believed to be near Soi Suwinthawong 98. Fire and rescue teams from Nong Chok station were immediately dispatched to the scene.

By 19:10, emergency crews had arrived and confirmed the correct location to be near Soi Suwinthawong 40. The fire had engulfed a car transporter lorry carrying six vehicles. Two of the cars were already severely damaged by flames when firefighters began dousing the blaze.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported. By 19:30, the fire had been brought under control. Authorities are continuing their investigation to determine the cause of the fire and assess the full cost of the damage.
