No, No, No!  but only one was a woman and the other was a katoey.  It's not a derogatory term in Thailand, just as farang is not derogatory.  Thai terms for a Thai forum.

Darwin insisted that some species and some members of those species were more fit for survival than others. It would appear some tourists here, are a perfect example of his theories in action.

Rule number one - when you go back to your room the first thing you do is lock up all your valuables either in the safe or in a piece of locked luggage, while the woman is using the bathroom. Out of sight, out of mind, no possibility of temptation, and you're theoretically safe.

Rule number two - don't go within 5 meters of a ladyboy in Pattaya. Ever. Under any circumstances. Be smart. Be good to your self. Avoid trouble makers.

His suspicions should have been aroused when she identified herself to him as a female - no doubt by cawing "I am lady" at him in a high pitched voice.

Unfortunately something else got aroused and he wound up taking home the bona fide lady along with a bonus ladyboy with a boner.

For $200, I'd have just called it a life lesson and kept my picture out of the news.

I get that......................but sometimes it would me nice if the miscreants were apprehended - and punished. There has to be a deterrent somewhere.

Just another stupid foreigner who stay in a hotel that don't require the ID from people u bring to ur room.

Some never learn!

That probably would not keep them from stealing. They just pick up the ID on the way out and leave. There is no way to trace cash as yours. Security here is pretty useless.

With that pattern of bald spots, I could pick him out from 6 blocks behind him.

(Unless that's a new Aussie thing and they all look like that.)

I'm wondering how he'd prove they took his money.  First, he can't prove it was his.  And even if he could, they can claim he paid them for "services rendered".

He's tilting at windmills.

All true.

But we know the game, they are still thieves and this planned from the outset - he was just the dumb target.

It is hard to argue with anyone who says "som nom na"......but he was still robbed and they are thieves  -  an all too common occurrence with Beach Road walkers.

He can't, but the cops don't know that.

He was thinking with the smaller head . Unfortunately many (not all) succumb to this phenomenon ,no matter what country of origin  .

The ID for a guest can be faked too,by the way. *someone else mentioned ID.

the guy is a complete moron imho:

exposing cash in the room

allowing a second individu in. Doesn't matter wife or man it is 2 against 1

3 in the morning

showering leaving the 2 alone

calling the police, even if true confrontated ha has no proof. it is 2 against one.

Don't argue this is Pattaya, this will happen anywhere in the same circumstances.

I bet the local cops don't give damn. After filing the file vertically, they laugh at the <deleted>'s misfortunes while drinking a good glass of hongthong.

he said she have brown eyes and black hair Believe it or not the police find her after a short while with the money.

An Australian tourist, who has not been named, has filed a police complaint after what he described as two women, but one identified as a biological female and the other a transgender, allegedly stole cash from his hotel room in Pattaya during the early hours of the morning of 9 August.

The incident was reported to Pol Lt Col Saijai Kamjulla, an investigator with Pattaya City Police Station, at around 04:00. The theft took place in a hotel on Soi 12, Central Pattaya Road.

According to the victim, the incident began at approximately 03:00, when he was walking along Pattaya Beach and encountered an attractive woman who claimed to be from Laos. She allegedly told him she was reluctant to go alone and asked to bring along a friend, who she described as a ladyboy. The tourist agreed and took both back to his hotel room.

While the visitor took a shower, the pair reportedly slipped away. When he checked, he found that 7,000 baht in cash had disappeared from his wallet. Believing the two women to be responsible, he immediately contacted the police.

Investigators have now launched a search for the suspects.

They need to round these things up and confine them to patpong or  where ever they breed from. :coffee1:

It happens all the time, why some foreigners are seduced by women who have a dick ?

Well, for some guys, the motive is spicing up their sex life 🙂

By the way, the thing is, my guess anyway, HEAVY MAJORITY of tourists who hook up with ladyboys are actually very much aware beforehand that that person is a ladyboy. I think that, only in a small minority of cases, the guy only finds out in the hotel room 🙂 Now, of course, after finding out, some of those folks tell the ladyboy to get out of the room, while the rest go ahead with the action 🙂

More to the point why would you leave your wallet out in that circumstance........

Room safe or at least take it into the bathroom with you.

Exactly. Total numptie to leave his wallet out in the room, then leave the room in the company of two complete strangers. Hide in the room what you think you might need for such an event so that you don't have to open the safe in their presence.

I'm also big on the money clip when going out. ID, one credit card, enough cash for booze bills, done. Wallets are out, too easy to get pickpocketed.

Very lucky they were decent enough crims to only take cash from his wallet, not his plastic cards. I’d regard losing 7,000 baht cash as a trivial matter, but losing even one plastic card would be a huge headache.

Seemed like a good idea at 3am with a belly full of beer I'm sure!

Before going out for the evening, everything valuable locked away (safe or locked suitcase), and identify hiding places for phone and wallet. When returning to room, let "accomplice" go and shower and place phone and wallet in previously identified places.

They should have letter-box safes perhaps.
