Home Treat Chronic Sinus.

Featured Replies

Hi there, In my working days I used to suffer from chronic sinus which was probably caused by working in warship building for 30 years. After I retired it eased now it's back again. I've sought medical advice in 4-5 different countries in my travels including Thailand but the recommended treatments have never worked. Has anybody been through this same situation and home treated their chronic sinus with success.

You're likely susceptible to allergens, seeing this happened earlier to you while shipbuilding, mold, dust and other particles likely to blame, so going to an allergist is the best bet.

I've had seasonal allergies most of my life, starting in the Garden State of New Jersey with some plants, having them again in Texas, the most from Juniper (mountain cedar, which affects thousands there), and then coming here with other native plants. I dislike taking any medicines so just deal with the minor congestion and morning mild cough.

If they're affecting your way of life it's best to get diagnosed to see what's doing it, especially if it's just plants, mold, dust mites or other environmental allergens or possibly a food allergy you might have had all along. Many people eat the same foods all their lives without knowing they're allergic to them, because it isn't severe enough to worry about but just mild constant symptoms. You can get OTC medicines most anywhere now when you know it's an allergen that will lower your symptoms.

You could try Dymista.  It combines a steroid and an antihistamine.

Do you mean sinusitis?  Or something else.  What are your symptoms?

What kind of doctors with what kind of treatments?  ENT?  General Practitioner?  Naturopaths?

Really need more information.   I too have “sinus”….but my “sinus” has a name and probably not the same as yours.

Chinese herbalism might be an effective approach.  There are various shops in Thailand, ranging in competency and offering different pricing.  Finding one with a qualified herbalist might be possible, and if not, one with a manual of herbal remedies.

Here in the US, there is an online outlet that carries a couple of remedies that may well address the issue. See activeherb.com and look for "nasal and sinus support".   If you are able to try their products, please let me know your results!
