Authorities in Buriram, Thailand, have uncovered a distressing prostitution network involving secondary school students. A 16-year-old girl, referred to as A, has confessed to orchestrating these activities among her classmates, profiting by taking a 1,000 baht (approximately £22) commission per transaction.

The investigation began when Police Colonel Chusit Lorsaeng, deputy commander of Buriram province police, and his team discovered A's illicit activities through a Facebook page named “Parn Noi Roi Phua”. They conducted an undercover operation, arresting A after a service was bought for 1,500 baht.

During questioning, A admitted to facilitating these encounters, primarily involving classmates who had agreed beforehand. Her classmate, B, also 16, revealed her personal ordeal, explaining that she had been coerced into prostitution by A from the age of 13.

Living with her grandmother due to parental separation, B found herself trapped by financial desperation. A initially took 500 baht from B’s earnings, later escalating her commission to 1,000 baht, leaving B with minimal funds for personal expenses.

Wutthichai Suprom-In, a social development officer at the Buriram Provincial Social Development and Human Security Office, assured that support would be provided to the impacted children and their families, echoing the office's commitment to social welfare.

Colonel Chusit underscored that peer pressure and financial strains drove the students to such extremes. He insisted on the importance of parental vigilance, particularly regarding their children’s social media activities.

The authorities are now delving deeper into the clientele, reportedly comprising elderly men. Legal action will be taken against anyone found to be involved.

A faces severe charges, including human trafficking, facilitating minor prostitution, and removing minors from their guardians for profit or immoral purposes. This case serves as a harrowing reminder of the vulnerability of young individuals in the digital age and the crucial necessity for community and parental oversight.

I can't comment on the fact these kids are very poor and think it is easy money, but I hope is that they use condoms.

Oh well, it's back to giving free sex to the school boys (boyfriend) only for now.
