A 36-year-old delivery rider died after his motorcycle collided with a municipal garbage truck on Liap Khlong Si Road in Khlong Si sub-district, Khlong Luang district, Pathum Thani province early on 20 August.

The victim, identified as Mr. Manachai Chomthong from Pichit province, was thrown from his Honda motorcycle upon impact and was pronounced dead at the scene. The front of his bike was heavily damaged, and an empty food delivery box was found near the vehicle.

The garbage truck, a Hino operated by the Lat Sawai municipality, sustained damage to its front right side. The driver, Mr. Suthep Kaewdonree, 47, told police that the motorbike rider, had veered into his lane on a narrow two-way road, leaving him unable to avoid the collision.

Police from Khlong Luang Station documented the scene and arranged for the body to be sent to Thammasat University Hospital for post-mortem examination. Authorities are investigating the incident and coordinating with the victim’s family for funeral arrangements.
