The issue is the connection, and not being able to change the date and time -  the TV works just fine

Maybe I'll try a shop tomorrow, can't hurt, ask them to SHOW ME how to change the date and time

Not sure what they can show that I haven't tried since last Monday but can't hurt I guess

spent  almost 2 hours on the phone with VERY nice people from Dtac today,  zero luck

Can you install the Netflix app on your smart TV?  This is what I use.

Are using a VPN?......that will block it.   I had similar problems and finally solved them by casting not from Chrome .....but the latest Chrome beta version.

  • Mental note "Never buy Hisense TV".

No, I don't. It's actually not a cheap TV, but as noted, it comes with HiSense's proprietary operating system, rather than Android. That's why you cannot delete nor install anything. If NetFlix has updated their application, there is no guarantee that Hisense will have updated the version on their TV or even their firmware in general. Try even finding that model in the shops...

If their Tech fails to get it working, then my advice would be for you to obtain a Google Certified Android box. That will plug in via HDMI and give you full access to NetFlix and whatever else you might like to watch.

Expect to pay 1000 baht at the least, 2000 baht should cover it.

DTAC? Why DTAC? Are you using a mobile data connection for this?

Have you checked for firmware updates or is that something else that isn't currently possible?

As this is a new TV, you will have a warranty, isn't it? Anyway let us know the final result

Just going back...How have you tried to sign in to NetFlix on the TV? Did you scan a QR Code?

FWIW I cannot connect using Netflix with my Hisense either. When I run a test, it shows three Netflix servers, two connected but the third never does.

Just checked, and I am now able to bring up the Netflix sign-in page on my older than yours, Hisense TV.

Do you have an option to use a different wi-fi connection?

On my internet I have a choice of 2.4G or 5G.

2.5G is Ethernet?

It's probably because my TV is older, but I use 2G when using the TV version app, and 5G when using my Chromecast.

If they cannot get NetFlix up and running... Dependent on your budget, this is the lowest I would go: https://www.lazada.co.th/products/pdp-i5246735721-s22279852111.html

Coupled with one of these: https://www.lazada.co.th/products/pdp-i1943314714-s6158704723.html

That will give you a lot more options for viewing, beyond just NetFlix.

3rd Gen is already out, though slightly more expensive, if you can bear it.

So what happened here?

Was the Hisense TV defenestrated?
