Ukraine is winning the war

It's obvious that Ukraine is on it's knees. Russia is like a python with pathetic prey. It doesn't need to squeeze. Just wait for the prey to bring in and then tighten a little. Repeat until the prey is dead. Any resources sent by allies are a waste. The Ukranian people were betrayed by their leaders and are paying for that deceit.

A lovely sight to see in the morning

For the mentally/emotionally underdeveloped and intellectually weaker individuals for sure. Enjoy. Banderites are always happy when something or someone is burning. It's their national tradition to set buildings on fire, preferably with people inside...

"On the night of February 25, 2026, Middle Strike units of the Special Operations Forces successfully struck Russian air defense positions in the temporarily occupied Crimea," the statement says.

The results of the fire damage confirmed the destruction of the S-400 launcher, the 92N6E radar station, and auxiliary elements of the S-400 system.

The Pantsir-S1 air defense system, which protected important objects and enemy air defense positions from drones and missiles at low and medium altitudes, was also destroyed by Ukrainian drones.

The partisans of Atesh carried out a successful sabotage operation near Sevastopol, dedicated to the Day of Resistance to the Occupation of Crimea and Sevastopol. The agents managed to disable communication facilities, including those that interfere with the operation of Ukrainian drones, according to the Atesh partisan movement’s Telegram channel.

The operation targeted electronic warfare systems — EW antennas. The equipment was located on a tower near the village of Honcharne.

“This tower was equipped with EW antennas that created interference for our drones in the sector. Atesh agents set fire to relay cabinets at the base of the tower — these contain power electronics and high-frequency cables. When they are damaged, the antennas on top become useless scrap metal: the signal simply does not reach,” the partisan movement wrote.

It is also reported that restoring such equipment is extremely difficult, expensive, and time-consuming.

As a result of the successful sabotage, enemy EW systems in the area were completely shut down.

Since May 2025, the only optical fiber production plant in Russia has been shut down after Ukrainian Armed Forces attacks. At the same time, China, which now supplies 100% of fiber optics to Russia, has raised prices fourfold, according to Russian media.

The Optic Fiber Systems plant in Saransk, which is still out of operation after Ukraine's strikes, previously produced about 4 million kilometers of fiber optics per year. Two dozen Russian cable plants then used it to manufacture fiber optic cables.

At the beginning of 2025, the cost of G.652D fiber, which is used in fiber optic cables, was 16 yuan ($2.34) per 1 km in China. By the end of the year, the price had risen to 25 yuan ($3.65), and in January 2026, to 40 yuan ($5.85).

Russia's only fiber optic plant halts after Ukrainian strike, China quadruples prices

The rise in the price of fiber optics is due to the rapid growth in demand, as it is used in drones.

In the North-Slobozhanskyi direction, fighters from the Armed Forces of Ukraine's Special Operations Forces entered enemy rear areas, planted explosives, and blew up a route used by Russian troops, according to the Special Operations Forces Command.

Special operations were conducted by one of the Special Operations Forces units in the North-Slobozhanskyi direction. Aerial reconnaissance detected Russia's route with accumulation points.

In accordance with METT-TC, it was decided that conducting a classic ambush posed an increased risk to the special forces group.

Instead, Special Operations Forces operators infiltrated Russia's rear, planted explosives in the accumulation points, and safely exfiltrated.

Rusty Dagger Low-Cost Cruise Missile

Dubbed the “Rusty Dagger” by its manufacturers, the missile has been demonstrated by the US Air Force destroying targets. It follows US Department of State approval of a foreign military sale request, allowing Ukraine to buy air-delivered munitions and related equipment valued at $825 million.

Ukraine requested up to 3,350 Extended Range Attack Munition (ERAM) missiles, of which arms firm Zone 5 Technologies’ Rusty Dagger, which they call “our affordable cruise missile”, is one of two in contention for the programme.

The live-fire test of the Rusty Dagger was carried out at Eglin Test and Training Range in Florida.

Italy is preparing a "surprise" for the Ukrainian Armed Forces that could prove crucial in the fight against Russian kamikaze drones. Instead of standard armored personnel carriers, Ukraine may receive full-fledged SIDAM-25 air defense systems, according to Defense Express.

Previously, SIDAM-25 systems were supplied only in the form of converted M113 armored personnel carriers. Now, however, the discussion concerns the delivery of full-scale air defense systems, sufficient to equip approximately three batteries, which would significantly enhance the protection of Ukraine's skies against Shahed drones.

The reported reinforcement of Ukraine's air defenses became known from a post by military analyst A-129 Mangusta (@NichoConcu) on the X platform. He is known for accurate forecasts regarding the supply of Italian equipment, including Centauro B1 wheeled tanks.

Chances of Ukraine getting any air defences now from anybody are less than zero and with oil going probably over $100 Putin has just been handed the best lifeline ever.China will buy whatever he has and supply him with whatever he needs whilst Israel/Trump and Gulf States burn through kit like there is no tommorow. • The UK prime minister, Keir Starmer, said Ukrainian experts would provide guidance on intercepting Iranian drones being launched at Gulf allies, as Tehran responds to the US-Israeli strikes on Iran. “We are not joining these strikes, but we will continue with our defensive actions in the region,” Starmer said on Sunday night. “And we will also bring experts from Ukraine, together with our own experts, to help Gulf partners shoot down Iranian drones attacking them.” Ukraine was yet to comment on Starmer’s announcement.

Zelenskyy offers drone defence expertise to Europe

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has offered to share Ukraine’s battlefield expertise in defending against Iranian-made drones with European allies and other nations facing similar threats. The offer came after Iran launched retaliatory strikes against Western military bases in the Middle East following a joint military operation involving the United States and Israel.

The growing tensions have drawn in several countries, including the United Kingdom. During overnight attacks, a British military base in Cyprus was reportedly struck by an Iranian-made drone, highlighting the expanding reach of drone warfare in the region.

Hours before the attack, Zelenskyy said Ukraine was ready to help allies defend themselves using the lessons learned from Russia’s drone campaign during the ongoing war. Ukraine has faced thousands of drone attacks since Russia began deploying Iranian-designed Shahed drones, which Moscow now manufactures domestically based on the original design.

According to Ukrainian officials, more than 4,000 of these fixed-wing “suicide drones” were launched against Ukraine in January alone. The attacks have forced Ukraine to rapidly develop countermeasures, including radar detection, air defense coordination, and drone interceptor technology.

Zelenskyy emphasized that the situation unfolding in the Middle East demonstrates how challenging it is to fully protect against both missiles and long-range drones. He said Ukraine’s experience has become increasingly valuable for European security.

UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer responded positively to the proposal. Starmer said Britain plans to bring Ukrainian defense specialists together with British experts to help partners in the Gulf region improve their ability to shoot down Iranian drones.

Oleksandr Kamyshin, an adviser to Zelenskyy on strategic affairs, explained that much of Ukraine’s success in countering the drones comes from interceptor systems developed domestically. He noted that more than ten Ukrainian companies are now producing counter-drone and interception technologies.

As global security concerns grow, Ukraine’s experience defending against Iranian-style drone attacks is increasingly being viewed as a valuable resource for allied nations.

Meanwhile, in Ukraine, the AFU continues to take back ground that Russia spent a lot of time, money and lives to take.

A Russian-flagged LNG tanker caught fire in the Mediterranean on Monday, maritime sources told Reuters.

The vessel, identified as the Arctic Metagaz, was said to be ablaze early on Monday near Malta or the Libyan coast. Images circulating on social media showed flames rising from the ship but there was no immediate word on crew casualties.

Ukraine drones rip through Russian Black Sea port, warships hit and oil terminal ablaze

Ukrainian drones have struck deep into Russia’s Black Sea hub of Novorossiysk, damaging three naval vessels and setting a major oil terminal on fire in a night-long assault.

Sources in the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) said the operation targeted military ships, air defence systems and fuel infrastructure in a coordinated attack late on March 2.

Warships Caught in Harbour

The naval minesweeper Valentin Pikul was hit alongside two anti-submarine ships, Yeysk and Kasimov, according to Ukrainian officials. All three were said to have suffered serious damage.

Three Russian sailors were killed and 14 wounded, sources claimed. Moscow has not publicly confirmed the toll.

Air Defences Breached

The strike also reportedly damaged the 30N6E2 guidance radar of an S-300PMU-2 system and a Pantsir-S2 air defence complex, exposing vulnerabilities in what Russia considers a secure rear base.

Novorossiysk has become a critical fallback port for Russia’s Black Sea Fleet. Hitting assets there signals Kyiv’s intent to stretch the battlefield far beyond the front lines.

Oil Lifeline Set Alight

Six of seven oil-loading stands at the vast Sheskharis terminal were struck, Ukrainian officials said. The blaze burned through the night, lighting up one of southern Russia’s largest fuel export hubs.

Kyiv says the facility supplies petroleum products to Russian forces fighting in Ukraine. Disrupting it strikes at logistics as much as symbolism.

‘No Safe Rear’

An SBU source said Ukraine would continue to target Russian military infrastructure “where it considers itself safe — in ports, at bases, and deep in the rear”.

The message is blunt: as long as the war grinds on, Russia’s coastline and energy arteries remain in Kyiv’s sights.
