Body of Teenage Boy Recovered from River in Kanchanaburi

The body of a 16-year-old boy was recovered, after he drowned while swimming with friends at Nong Bua pier in Mueang district, Kanchanaburi.

Emergency responders from the Pitak Karnchan Foundation were alerted at around 16.30 on 30 August to reports of a teenager who had disappeared under the water.

Rescue divers from the “Chol Karnchan” underwater operations team were deployed to the scene. After around 30 minutes of searching, they located and retrieved the body.

The victim was later identified as Mr Adithep 16, a resident of Moo 2, Nong Bua subdistrict, Mueang district.

Police officers and rescue volunteers conducted an initial examination of the body at the scene and finding no signs of foul play released it to the boy’s relatives for funeral rites.
