Why isn't this part of our children's history lessons and when can we begin discussing reparations. The Muslim countries of North Africa should settle up.
September 2, 2025Sep 2 Getting in touch with your inner (white) victimhood this morning?! Have FOX on the flatscreen with your morning coffee do ya. Cheers

Was that the same time European settlers were rounding up Red Indians, and putting them on barren reservations? Or was it when they were importing black slaves to pick cotton?

Maybe you should seek reparations from the Roman Empire for enslaving your ancestors to fight their wars for them, or England for shipping your criminal buttends to a prison island.

Among the historically illiterate, like the US today. However you might consider reparations to who. You mean the countries they were taken from as their descendants re dead or (forcibly) converted to Islam. However it is just Tuesday, you should get that worked out by the end of the week. BTW if you are interested, doubt you are, I have some nice pics from 2019, of one of the last orthodox church's in operation in Istanbul. A country that massacred & ethnically cleared over a third of their population (their Christian population), between the 1890's & 1922 (plus that 56 pogrom). That after a thousand years of slave raiding & slaughter.

Reparations for Black slavery descendants is a very real conversation in the US. But, somehow talking about white slaves is laughed at. Explain please,

We must take decisive action to empower the Black community and restore it to its full strength. Acknowledging and addressing the injustices of the past is not just a moral imperative—it's a crucial step toward a more equitable future for all. This is the right thing to do.

We must confront and acknowledge the historical oppression of Aboriginal people by colonial powers. It is crucial that reparations are made to Aboriginal communities as a step towards rectifying the injustices of the past. Moreover, we have much to learn from Indigenous cultures, and it is vital that we approach their perspectives with respect and understanding, free from a Western bias. Failing to do so not only undermines their experiences but also reinforces systemic racism. Embracing Indigenous wisdom enriches our society and paves the way for a more equitable future.

Aboriginal Australians 'still suffering effects of colonial past' https://www.bbc.com/news/world-australia-53436225 Kooris are less than 4% of Australia's population. They get $4.5 billion in welfare specifically directed at the "indigenous" population. That's over and above the social welfare they also get as Australians. i suggest you visit places such as Wilcannia, Murrum Bridge, Fitzroy Crossing and Bourke to see what happens to that money. Or Google Geoff Clark, he's a peach. It's a guilt industry, which I refuse to buy into.

The whole business of forcibly shipping and resettling people to different countries is a complex matter, with many consequences and ramifications. Britain for example shipped it's criminals to Australia and it's religious fanatics to the Americas. On balance, Australia turned out much better!

It is essential to enhance reparations and demonstrate a deeper respect for our indigenous population. We must take meaningful steps towards acknowledging their history and rights.
