  • Trump was never a builder. He was a brander. That's what he knows. He has no idea what he's doing as president. So back to what he knows. Branding. What a feckless moron.

  • Now that will put an end to his nobel prize dream. Should have renamed it to Department of peace and love making.

  • Trump's priorities are truly bizarre.  He seems obsessed with renaming as a way of ensuring his legacy. The next President can reverse all of these changes.

I'm not sure what your question is. Of the three immigrants I took in, two of them are now married and have had children.

Another dumb idea from Trump that will cost millions and millions of dollars that could be better spent elsewhere.

Published under what "author's name"?

I've been warned not to mention details about my books, but I'll answer your question. The author's name on all of my books is W. D. Smart.

You're missing the irony.

Now go back to the wonderful life capitalism has provided you.

No, I understood what you were implying.

The e-book and paperback editions of all my books are sold at the minimum price available on Amazon, and two of my books are available in e-book editions for free via my Facebook page.

And I'd like to notify everyone on this forum that I, myself, am an immigrant - a citizen of the USA now living in Thailand. I assume that is the case for many others on these forums as well.

Just go sell more books ok.

Ill assume you crusade daily against the thai government to enact the policies you believe?

That would be a true socialist. Otherwise its all just virtue signaling and grandstanding.

Making all of the comments you do from the comfort of a lovely home that capitalism provided you.

Hypocrisy comes to mind.

I don't know that much about European immigration, but I assume the immigrants are having a better life.

Yes, many immigrants from the Arab world are having a better life in Europe, but it comes at the expense of native Europeans, who are asked to shoulder the social, cultural, and economic costs of mass immigration, including higher crime rates in many communities.

I heard that the Dept of Justice is being rebranded as the Department of Retribution and Vindictiveness.

Such stupidity. It used to calling people drug traffickers was enough to brand them as evil. Now they have to be called terrorists as well. Terrorists are people who have some kind of political and/or social agenda and use violence to impose what they want on society. Drug traffickers are just lowlifes who want to make money via a dirty dirty business.

In addition, we are going to have to take the Trump administration's word that these people were narcotics traffickers. And even if they were, it's very hard to find anyone who will characterize this approach as legal. If it's not legal to shoot suspected drug trafickers on sight in the USA, why should it be legal in international waters?

Desk-bound Hegseth’s “warrior ethos” came from behind a bottle.
Trump’s “war president” act came from behind bone spurs.
Together they’re comrades in arms — their only real battle experience is rape allegations.
Another distraction from Epstein.

Not only does Trump appear to think that America "won" WW1 and WW2 singlehandedly, he seems to have forgotten America's woeful track record in wars since WW2!

Net exporter under Biden? Sure, but only because of the production surge carried over from Trump’s policies. Biden tried to choke off drilling and new leases, hardly a recipe for long-term independence. As for tariffs, they’re not a blanket "tax", they’re leverage. China’s unfair trade practices didn’t change because people asked politely, Trump forced them to the table.

And Middle East peace deals? The Abraham Accords ring a bell? Israel signed normalization agreements with the UAE, Bahrain, Morocco, and Sudan. That’s not a delusion, it’s historic diplomacy, and it happened on Trump’s watch.

Net exporter under Biden wasn’t some “leftover surge” — shale and markets drove it, and production hit record highs on his watch.

Tariffs? Call them leverage if you want — Americans still paid the bill. A tax by any other name is still a tax.

And the Abraham Accords? Not peace deals — none of those countries were at war with Israel. Normalization isn’t peace, it’s a photo-op. Trump ignoring Palestine, and moving the embassy to Jerusalem only inflamed tensions — helping set the stage for the Hamas–Israel war.

So half the country is either stupid or morally bankrupt? That’s an awfully convenient way to avoid grappling with why Trump’s policies appealed to so many. Energy independence, lower taxes, secure borders, and Middle East peace deals aren’t signs of delusion, they’re tangible results.

So tired of hearing this "Half  of Americans" BS.......It wasn't half genius, Mango Mussolini got 49.8 percent of the votes. Harris got 48.3 percent of the votes. Third party was 1.85% and 36.1% of eligible voters didn't vote at all. 51.15% of votes cast were cast for someone other than Cheeto Benito.

So technically no,  half the country who voted isn't stupid or morally bankrupt. Although there is an argument to be made that 36.1% of eligible voters who didn't vote at all are lazy and or stupid.

US President Donald Trump has announced a bold move to rebrand the Pentagon as the 'Department of War'. The change, he claims, reflects a stronger message of readiness.

The executive order, set to be signed on Friday, will direct the Department of Defense to adopt the name as a secondary title. Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth will take on the new moniker of Secretary of War. The Pentagon, originally known as the War Department, was a cabinet-level agency from 1789 until its transformation in 1947.

However, legally altering the name requires more than presidential orders. The establishment of executive departments is under the US Congress's purview, necessitating an amendment for any official name change. Trump remains confident that Congress would back this shift, citing America's past military victories under the original title.

Trump's executive order highlights that the term 'Department of War' projects a more forceful image than 'Department of Defense', which he argues limits perception to defensive action. The BBC released excerpts from the order, emphasising this stance. Furthermore, both Trump and Hegseth have articulated a desire to shift the department's focus away from diversity and equity programs towards a stronger emphasis on military prowess and a "warrior ethos."

Trump has often floated this rebranding idea, asserting that the US's remarkable history in global conflicts supports the move. He remains optimistic about legislative backing, expressing certainty that "Congress will go along if we need that."

This potential rebranding signals a significant shift in messaging and emphasis within the US military establishment. With Trump and Hegseth's strong advocacy, the focus will be on enhancing warfighting capabilities. The success of this bid rests on navigating the legalities in Congress.

History isn’t a comic book. Nobody with half a brain thinks America won WWI or WWII all by itself, but let’s be honest, without U.S. intervention, the outcomes would’ve looked very different. And calling America’s post-WWII record "woeful" is just lazy sloganeering. Korea was a stalemate, Vietnam a loss, sure,  but what about the Gulf War, Panama, and the Balkans? So if you're only going to count failures and ignore successes, then congratulations, you’ve just reinvented propaganda.
