By the way...

About a year ago, I did check with McGill....and......

I am welcome to return, anytime I wish....just as long as I am...

Still breathing.

This is TRUE, actually.....

So then...there is that...!!!

You'll need a good ac for the summers there.

Vancouver with all of the Chinese.

  • No retirement visa in Canada. Forget about it. If you want a cold place where you can actually get permanent residence look elsewhere.

If I were to go, I would take my Thailand ACs with me.

Unfortunately, I will not be able to ride along with my cargo, since...

These days, rarely is there a freighter (container vessel) with an extra cabin for people like me.

I have been toying with my idea to return to Canada for a few years....IF....

Give me your best marriage proposal and ill consider sponsorship. 😅

But....WAIT....!!!

Doesn't Canada offer same sex marriages?

IF SO...then....

You and I could become married PLATONICALLY....

That might be a solution.

I would only consider Vancouver Island.

Unfortunately, the Chinese don't go there much.

They like places such as Burnaby, Vancouver....but not sure why.

We might be able to go fishing together, however.

That would be nice.

Someone who is up themself, concerning their intelligence, will not do well in Australia.

In NZ, you would have to learn a new English language. They have interchangeable vowels.

Wow! They have interchangable vowels? Or are you telling us in this descreet way that they have "interchangable wifes" (wife swapping)?
If yes, let's forget about Canada. 😀

Anyplace, almost, is OK if you have unlimited financial resources.

But, who does?

One must choose realistically.

And, since Europe is doomed, I would never go to France.

I think I might not like the culture of NZ or Australia, just personal choice.

This is why I think Canada might, truly, be the best, if I do not succumb while here where I am.

It's not location, it's visa requirements that you should make your priority. Listen to what JT had to say about this. Of course one can retire in Canada, but the financial requirements are massive. I venture to say, that most Farangs in Thailand would not be able to qualify.

Canada is a great place to live out your final years.  As long as you're quick about it.

What do you mean by being "quick about it"?

Some Farangs from the USA might qualify....

Perhaps, if you and I are both citizens of the USA, then we should investigate further.

Anyway, as I have already stated, I could always return to McGill.
