Customers fled in panic after a 40-year-old man stormed a noodle shop in Phatthalung with a machete, attacking the owner and wrecking property in apparent revenge for his wife, child and sister being dismissed from their jobs.

The incident occurred on 5 September at a restaurant known locally as Rong Khanom Jeen in the municipality of Phatthalung. Police from Muang Phatthalung Station rushed to the scene alongside investigators after reports of a violent assault and property damage.

Officers found the restaurant in disarray, with chairs, tables and parked motorbikes attacked. The shop owner had suffered serious machete wounds to his torso and arm. Emergency responders provided first aid before transferring him to Phatthalung Hospital.

The attacker, identified as Mr. Chalatthorn was also injured. He attempted to escape by motorbike but collided with the shop owner’s vehicle. He too was taken to hospital for treatment.

According to preliminary investigations, the suspect entered the restaurant shouting aggressively before striking the owner with the machete. He then rampaged through the premises, overturning tables and damaging motorcycles, forcing diners to flee in all directions.

Security camera footage and witness accounts confirmed the chaotic scene. The motive is believed to stem from anger after the restaurant owner allegedly terminated the employment of the suspect’s wife, child and sister.

Police are gathering evidence, including CCTV recordings, as they prepare to press charges relating to assault and criminal damage.

Maybe this total loser, should have stepped up instead, and helped his family by getting a job so he could take care of them in a situation of need. Now he will be charged with heavy economical burden and have ta face time in jail away from his family. No so clever guy. Probably just another Lao Khao loser!
