Card reader

Featured Replies

Hi just wondering if anyone here ever revived a card reader from abroad.

I'm getting someone to post for me because mine is broken.

You mean received/ordered?

I got one for my home country bank via Amazon order.

Went through without any problem but customs added.

It serves as a worst case backup in case mobile phone fails.

Private package?

Declare the value and I would expect it to go through.

I can't log into my bank with a mobile number because the bank won't send log in codes to a foreign number.

My home country bank works with another purely internet based method for mobile.

But still a fragile thing. Sometimes I am concerned on how much I depend on the mobile phone.

I would be interested to know how that works. I'm not very good at technology

Does your overseas Bank not have an APP for the phone ??

My UK banks have an APP..

... I can authorise any payment (online etc) from the App directly etc and it provides me with a code with any transfer I want...

As others pointed out - IF lose my phone I'm in a sticky spot until I get things set up again.

Simple solution, you just add a second phone on the account. So if you lose one phone, you can still use the account with the second phone.

A card reader? Your phone will read and write NFC cards.

Yes there should be no problems sending a card reader in the post to Thailand.
