Wardrobe room divider

Featured Replies

I'm looking at buy a large 55sqm studio but it's all one long room

thinking of making a Wardrobe type room divider/ partition  that will hide the bed and making it into a semi room

Any idea , pics ,opinions , you could suggest to me

I have been told you can buy these wardrobe room dividers types compact and they just put together but I want it fitted to look good like at IKEA

One downside to using IKEA products for this is that the backside of their wardrobes are unattractive.  Also the method they use to affix their wardrobes to the wall can only be installed on the inside back wall of the closet.

The above is assuming you wish to construct a 'wall' by using wardrobes side by side with a gap serving as a doorway.

We installed 3 of IKEA's largest wardrobes side by side against a wall.  We're satisfied with that result.  The first picture is of the backside of a similar IKEA wardrobe.

Yes I'm thinking they will have to connect it to the ceiling so it will have to be ceiling height ..no gap between the top and ceiling

This will divide the room to make the bedroom "space "

I'm looking at pics of others some have bedroom wardrobes inside the room space "with mirror

On the outside facing the lounge room I will need shelves not the back of a wardrobe like you have above

Nail in each wall.

rope attached to each nail.

bed sheet thrown over the top of rope.

voila.

The Asian student way 😅

I spent 350 THB at Homepro. 4 mm (5/32") cable + clips (every 20 cm). Smaller sleeping area to save electricity. Perfect for AC, even with a light fabric (queen size bedsheets!). Close the curtain at night or open it when you want to cool the entire room. image.jpeg.f604760af0acb36f5dcc0eee38d038f0.jpegimage.thumb.gif.3976d0cc4f0ed67c8403f21dc1cdc127.gif
