That's true.  Nobody danced in the street or celebrated online when those Dems were murdered.

  • Yup.  If you publicly advocate or excuse assassination as a political tool, you shouldn't be teaching our kids (nor our college students).

I'll not hold my breath for an apology.

More good news:

Two people are no longer employed at a Tennessee university after they made “inappropriate” comments related to the shooting death of Charlie Kirk.

Cumberland University confirmed on Friday morning that Dr. Michael Rex and Max Wood are no longer employed by the university.

They even fired the asssitant dean, a woman. No exceptions made.

Laura Sosh-Lightsy, the now former Assistant Dean at MTSU, shared her thoughts on Kirk’s death online.

“Looks like ol’ Charlie spoke his fate into existence,” she wrote.

In other parts of the state, East Tennessee State University also had two employees placed on administrative leave for their comments on Kirk’s death.

The university said that Dr. Andrew Herrmann and Dr. Russell Brown were both placed on administrative leave.

Then he changed it, good for him. But he originally wrote 40 years.

The feminist website Jezebel removed a post headlined “We Paid Some Etsy Witches to Curse Charlie Kirk” that was published Monday, two days before Kirk's death.

Anyone who comes across social media posts with hate speech about Charlie Kirk can submit them to this website, the world's largest firing operation:

I'm not sure free speech Charlie would be happy with all this woke cancel culture. And now he is with his saviour Jesus he will learn about forgiveness from the man himself.

Well, Charlie's message of freedom of speech was spat on, trampled in the dirt and his life extinguished with murderous bullets.

So now, the hate speech dragon which the left unleashed, can be turned on the left themselves, justice is blind now.

Isn't freedom of speech a wonderful thing ?

I absolutely LOVE the the fact that these people were too stupid to consider the consequences of their actions.

Stupid should hurt

That’s not how constitutional rights work they’re absolute and inviolable. Then again, as a Trump supporter, I wouldn’t expect you to know that.

What happened to free speech @Cameroni? Is it not true that Mr Kirk stated " I think it's worth it. I think it's worth to have a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year so that we can have the Second Amendment to protect our other God-given rights."?

I guess that is the true meaning of being 'hoisted by your own petard'. So you agree with people getting sacked for speaking their mind?

Incidentally, appearently there have been forty seven school shootings in the USA this year. Charlie Kirk was number forty six.

How could they? They were never told.

In fact, the Right-wing Media barely covered the assassination attempts on the Minnesota Dems. And today, MAGAs are behaving as if there never were any, only against them, of course, by; Trans, Aliens, Gays, people of color, and Democrats.

This is becoming increasingly ridiculous.

Once again, the Dems forgot they wouldn't always be in power when they prosecuted people for praying anywhere near an abortion clinic.  Literally threw them in jail for praying.

And now they're butthurt that it's their turn in the barrel.  Zero sympathy from me.

Just yesterday, someone posted a list of links to Fox (and other conservative sources) reporting on every one of those murders.  But no conservatives celebrated in the streets.

Lots of good news here:

A Texas football coach was fired after he labeled Kirk “a horrible f***ing human being” in a Facebook comment, according to the Houston Chronicle.

The school district stated that it had taken “swift action” on Friday morning. “The employee was not permitted to step foot in his classroom and instead was sent to human resources, where his employment was terminated,” the Chronicle reported.

Pathetic. Free speech is dead in the US.

No support of killing anywhere in his post, and he's right in his remark.

Firing is completely unjustified.

Why all this hate from Trump supporters? Anger turns into hate, hate turns into violence and violence is what killed Charlie. Jesus’ resounding message was one of love and forgiveness, a path to redemption that these nationalist “so-called Christians” with their Trump Bibles don’t seem to grasp. As Christ said: “Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you” (Matthew 5:44).

Admittedly the football coach did not post  as vile as the Oregon teacher who wrote:

"“Hearing that Charlie Kirk got shot and died really brightened up my day,”

So one cannot say that the football coach supported the killing as clearly at the Oregon teacher.

However, the coach posted vile comments about the deceased, whom he never knew, and thus has no power to know if any of his statements were true, but they would all have been defamatory had Kirk been alive.

We certainly don't want our children taught by someone who defames a deceased person in this vile manner.

So clearly the firing of the coach is justified.

You're obviously not very bright and devoid of legal or constitutional knowledge.

Constitutional rights are not "absolute" and inviolable.as they can be limited to protect the public welfare, order, and morality. While some fundamental rights are recognized as non-derogable, meaning they can never be taken away or restricted, most constitutional rights can be balanced against other rights and societal needs through legislation and judicial interpretation.

But I wouldn't expect a conspiracy theorist to know that.

Your condescension doesn’t make your argument stronger it just makes it smug. The truth is that the Constitution does not exist at the whim of public opinion or partisan politics. While courts may interpret the scope of rights, the rights themselves are not granted by government but are recognized as inherent and inalienable. The Bill of Rights is explicit: government’s power stops where individual liberty begins. Attempts to “balance away” fundamental freedoms in the name of “public order” have historically led to some of the darkest abuses in American history. Calling people “conspiracy theorists” doesn’t change that it just shows you don’t have a serious counterargument.

“Congress shall make no law… abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble…”

Meanwhile you are on a witch hunt along with others attempting to limit the freedom of expression for those that use "hurty words" . If you were in London you could visit Stephen Yaxley-Lennon's Free Speech March today and hear the great man itself and Jordan Peterson and that woman who went to prison for saying we should burn down migrant hostels but you can't because you live in Thailand a well know free speech haven. I could as I live in London but have better things to do.

I guess when your brand is to try to rile people up as much as possible, it should not have come as a surprise that someone got riled up.

Up to him, he chose his path. From the video that someone posted, it didn't appear that he was about speaking the truth, but merely illustrated a combative style of debate, where he belittled and talked over the students. Another right wing extremist dressed up as someone reasonable.

It's very sad that anybody gets killed violently and needlessly but this worldwide canonisation of what was essentially some internet clout chasing shock jock shows how unserious a nation the US has become. But when a nation elects Trump to be their leader twice that is self-evidient to anyone with half a brain.

Well, I pity you now even more now that you have to live in London. Is it raining troday? Clearly you are as clueless about quality of life as you are about constitutional law. The last thing I'd want to do is go on a march to listen to that xenophobic witch who wanted hostels burnt down. I'm not surprised that's your kind of thing. Stephen Yaxley-Lennon? Lol, who tf is that? Never heard of him. Enjoy your foul smelling Reform Party march.

You're clueless.

Well, admirer is too big a word, but certainly I appreciate his statecraft.

The comment said nothing about assassination. You have projected your own bias.

We conservatives are all more than happy to be held to the same level of account for anything hateful any of us say if a senior Democrat politician or supporter is murdered in cold blood.  This is not something we shy away from - we dont hide our free speech beliefs behind hateful and abusive comments about someone that has been murdered.   You woke liberals may FEEL that conservatives making a comment saying a male should not be in women's sports or toilets is hateful - but it is not - you just FEEL that it is.  If Obama or Whoopi was assassinated and conservative people made the same hateful comments about that happening, then they would deserve to be punished too.
