I like your posts too, they are always a challenge to rethink one's position on things. :o

Really that reads as; 'I don't agree with anything you say, but I better be polite' and that's the problem with TV now, people can't speak their minds, call a spade a spade, any disagreement or opinion on a person is a considered a flame, but a flame that is dressed up in pretentious language is considered ok when used by the pseudo intellectual dinosaurs of TV. I could tell you of several recent incidents, but that would involve mentioning Mods and that's not allowed...

Wow man, that's dead heavy!

Yes I guess it is a bit heavy. TV will always be a great source of information and I should just keep it at that.

It seems though that on TV stimulating debate gets dumbed down into insipid cliche by overzealous moderation, group dynamics and the mood of certain individuals. I don't know what I'm really expecting, but in cyberworld if this is as good as it gets... I'm looking in the wrong place.

Funny that, Robski, I have a long-time thread named "calling a spade a spade" on the other place.

Please note that if you flame or stalk folks there, they don't warn you, they just saw your head off.

I'll better swallow some comments along the line of "you pretentious prick", or "you moronic troglodyte" - "sad sycophant" is another one i would love to use at occasions - but i better stay with "i am sorry, but i slightly disagree here..." :D

Oooh! I wouldn't use "pretentious prick", but I do like "moronic troglodyte" & love "sad sycophant". Can I borrow them? I don't have a warning status, yet... :D

Just one question. You can't go from "no warnings" straight up to being banned... can you? :o:D

Edit - just read Jet's post. OK, that answered that question.

Cheer up Rob. I still love you. :o

Actually, in terms of Ulysses - there are some things i don't agree with him, but i can discuss these things with him with mutual respect... There are other things i do agree with him, and many things he says that make me think.

I am starting to wonder if Robski has ever been right about anything in his whole life. :D

Dunno, but sometimes i feel like being leprosy or a bad case of incurable halitoses when i look at my rap sheet here. :D

A bit of a sweeping statement UG. One could suggest, unkind, too.

Just calling a spade a spade. :o

I dunno how you guys have the energy to post in two forums. I looked over there recently and registered and, frankly, forgot about it. It takes me all my energy to post here; I'm buggered if I'm gonna run two versions of bendix. How do you all think of new things to say?

Yep..and poor 'ol Robski's doing a Nick Berg imitation as we speak! :o

Shooooowa.. :o and Boon is doing his Scarlet Pimpernel impression when it comes to finding a straight answer. :D

Ya, Booner, that's what happens.

You're just antsy you can't upload your av. :o It's like shopping, Bendix. You go to the wet market for chicken and asparagus, and you go to Emporium for designer duds.

I'd 'Green' you for that but I can't find the button! :D

'Green' me? <deleted>. If you can find the button please feel free to 'Green' me.

Oooh, I'm enjoying this thread! :D

It's much like watching a motorcycle race, waiting to see who will push the envelope too far and and wind up embedded in the wall on the far turn. :o

OK, since it's been brought up - what's with all that Green & Red stuff anyway? Sure I'm going to get my "head handed to me on a plate" as mentioned in another thread for saying this, but isn't it all very childish?

It's gotta be better than the Terminal Boringness that this forum is currently suffering.

It gets tedious to hear you old fellas moaning all the time, but I suppose if the girls in the bar beers can get used to it so can we. :o

And it gets tedious listening to self appointed guardians of Thaivisa's reputation against any perceived slight (whether true or not).

Oh, don't wrinkle your dress over my comments SB, I know TV isn't perfect. I also know that whinging doesn't make the place any better. Contributing in a constructive way does improve things however.

Regardless of what forum is your favourite, it didn't get that way because someone sat in a corner complaining while waiting for others to get on with the job of making it interesting.

Surely you have some talent other than being a cranky old man. Can you tell jokes, give advice on drywalling, or the best way to fix a '62 Impala with noisy lifters? Tax advice, best way to get from Narrathiwat to Nakhon Sawan without having to do a stopover in Hua Hin?

Maybe you could teach newbies how to reply without messing up the quotes, or go out and find some hilarious smiley and convince George to add it to the lineup. You could scour the web to bring members the most interesting tidbits from expat blogs all over the region so that people would actually seek out your postings because there's always something interesting in them.

Or you could just sit there with a big pout on your face.

Up 2u :o

Ooooooo....I guess I've just been put in my place.

Guess that it proves that you can take the man out of the Mod's room, but, you can't take the Mod out of the man.

You've chosen the pout then I take it? :o

Have a new avatar.... my treat.

On that forum "that shall not be named" there is an option to basically give points for the post. Press the green means good and press the red means you don't like their post. People either try to collect lots of green to show how good they are or see how many red they can collect before they get posts shifted to a special dunces corner (can't remember what it is called now) or just banned.

Robski who posts on that forum could easily have explained it to you instead of making out he had never heard of it.

CB who likes your head where it is and not on a plate

That's the ticket cdnvic! You see, it's already got less boring in here. Forums aren't just about information, they're about entertainment too. Something you (and others) seem to have forgotten.

OK, your shot, I believe.

Oh no Sir Knight.... I make my funny, now it's your turn to step up and do the entertaining while I go make dinner. :D
